I ran a search and then looked through 5 or 6 pages of new threads but wasn't able to find anything like this so decided to start a thread about it.

I've been running B-Spec for about 10 days consecutively now (taking the odd break to backup my save game). I'm at Lv36 & running the 24 Hrs Le Mans Endurance race. According to the stats on these boards, I'll be running this 24 Hr race another 7 times to reach Lv40 (next weekend then).

I feel like I am in a B-Spec boat in an ocean of PS3 self denial and I expect many of you have felt similarly or are presently sitting in this ocean yourselves right about now...

I was wondering what you are doing to pass the time...?

Here's a short list of things I've been doing the past 10 days or so...

* Working. Sleeping. Cooking (or waiting for Jeeves to do it). Eating. (The day-to-day essentials).
* Playing on the XBox 360 and the woman (who struggles to understand the point of B-Spec).
* Surfing the web (such as sites like this one), watching movies.
* Seeing friends.
* Keeping fit.

The trouble is... I'm missing GT5 (and have played a little GT-PSP) but I'm starting to get A-Spec withdrawal. I don't see much sense in buying another PS3 and playing GT5 there because my save files won't add up at the end.

So what are you doing to in order to pass the time while B-Spec is running and what ideas do you have for Polyphony Digital to recognize the time they're making us spend on B-Spec and give us more incentives?

Perhaps some GT web based games? For example:-

* A B-Spec-Bob-Su-Doku Lv35 game, whereby every Su-Doku puzzle you complete adds XP to the Lv35+ B-Spec drivers you're currently sharing online. When you finish your PS3 B-Spec event and receive rewards for online drivers, your overall B-Spec level should improve more rapidly thus reaching Lv40 that bit quicker.

* A patch to GT5 to enable people to transfer cars earned in GT-PSP into A-Spec (and not just Arcade mode) later. Good enough reason to play some more GT-PSP.

* A custom livery creator for people to create helmets and racing suits to use after B-Spec is all wrapped up.

* A B-Spec online web page mode whereby you could actually watch B-Spec unfold wherever you are.

Ideas - fun or serious - welcome!

the best feature of b spec is the remote racing which earns money for you , research it

I did a similar thing (the chase for level 40 B-Spec) back when there was no remote racing, but I've only run the 24 hours of Le Mans once. Firstly, you'll get a lot more xp/min if you keep repeating the 4 hour Nuerburgring, secondly, I did not want Bob to hog my PS3 for 24 hours straight. Doing 4 hour races, and throwing in 9 hour races when you're away from the PS3 for that long, gets you to level 40 quicker (unless you'd end up doing 9 hour races almost exclusively), plus, it allows you to do a few A-Spec races in between. Was the best option for me back in the day. Nowadays, I'd just go for remote, that's how I got my alt account to B-Spec 40, same with my wife's account. Both exclusively through remote racing while I was not using the PS3 for doing A-Spec.
