i start recruit training tomorrow; will be gone for the next eight weeks then i start technical school after that (thirteen weeks). needless to say, i won't be able to finish the season, and it looks like it's gonna be a while before i pick up the sticks. good luck to everybody!

It seems this latest GT5 update includes a feature long awaited by some

"Fixed an issue where the online control characteristics differed from the offline characteristics"

These cars need to be swapped around as you've had the Ferrari and I've been in the R33.

A mistake from me trying to be brave around the outside at the right-hander before the first tunnel on Lap 1 meant I fell 8.5 seconds behind at the finish

Super close finish of 0.020 seconds after my trick strategy failed to outsmart Shadow in the return tunnel. I pinched victory by performing a daring and slightly desperate slipstream pass around the outside just after the final turn.

Each driver may have only one registered car per class (more classes in future seasons)
Selected car must be a road legal car
No RM / Rally / Concept / Tuner cars will be allowed*
You CANNOT change cars after you have registered​

Tuning Parts & Restrictions
550/600PP (Two separate running classes, never run against each other)
Sports: Soft tires or less
Ballast Use is STRICTLY PROHIBITED*
Power Limiter Use: 5%*
Fully Customizable Transmissions ARE allowed and ENCOURAGED (duh...)​

Looks like my AMG SL will be fast tracked to a premature retirement since it has 199 kilos of ballast added. Luckily my car for Season 5 will be much lighter with no ballast.
 
Interesting new changes. I don't use ballast, so this will help a bit.

Black Thorn is now ready and she's running at full power after a day of high speed testing at SSRX to break it in.
