Next time you're hooning around the narrow dirt roads of Tahiti Maze, look up.

Throughout the race two or more planes can be seen flying around randomly like they are lost.

First thing to look for is the jetstream, once you've found one try spot the plane (tiny black dot - but you can sort of make out wings & stuff). If you manage to see both while you're stationary or moving in a straight line then you will actually be able to see the planes moving!

It sort of explains why a lot of the replay camera views have a fair amount of sky in them...

All the planes I've ever seen are at the the start of the Le Mans 24 hour race {Circuit de la Sarthe I}

Can someone post the pic of the "planes at La Sarthe" again...I can't see it, unless this is another Milk Truck.

On topic: I had no friggin clue that there were planes in La sarthe!! I was literally stunned when Team666 posted them and they were real.
 
Haha caffeinated monkeys with ADD are the beast! Wow, I never knew those planes existed there. I think I need some glasses or something..

Thats awesome! Thanks for the pictures, i've never noticed that before, and considering its one of my favorite tracks, you think i woulda noticed.

Too focused on doing my amazing rally moves I guess. :sly:
 
no prob...i hope others see... its really wierd tho. they only appear on the first 1/3 of the track, before split one...and you gotta catch em at the right time or else their gone. also, once you take a picture, they disappear! wierd huh?
 
no noise from what i understand. if you look at my one pic at Sarte, youll notice they almost look flat. so PD obviously didnt want to put too much effort into them. just enough to catch your eye. both at Sarthe and Tahiti
