Wanted: Level-based RPG for PSX

Hey, all info in the title. I want it to be me against the world so no Final Fantasy crap.

I want something like The Elder Scrolls and most MMORPG's but not MMO then. If you know a good PSX site please link to it and i can take it from there.
 
That's a huge list of every RPG on PSX. That's a crapload of info.
 
Well still it isn't really what i wanted. It's not easy to find it in that list. Also i wrote "no Final Fantasy" and that list had 15 of them. Thanks for posting though! 👍
 
What are you referring to as "PSX"? That's the nickname for the original Playstation One, in which case your options will be somewhat limited.

If you're referring to the Playstation brand overall, up to and including PS3, and you want something like the Elder Scrolls... well, PS3 has Oblivion. So there you go.

At this point, I think that's about it, though. Oblivion is great, but I personally prefer turn-based games when I think of RPGs. Real-time combat takes it from an RPG to what I think of as a action-adventure-RPG, which isn't the same thing.

I have Oblivion to my PS3, i meant the PS One here. I don't like the turn-based games, i'd rather have a little more action-rpg. Do you know any Oblivion-like game to PS One?
 
I already said it, but try Brave Fencer Musashi for such a game. Sadly, it is a quite simple game in terms of the completion, but the entire storyline itself is very challenging. Levels are chapters, each with increasing difficulty. The game is one of the rarer releases for PSX, but rest assured it is an excellent RPG.

As for Oblivion, I am sorry to say that I have no clue.

is it fair to say that it's like a Zelda for the PS? I checked out a Youtube film and i think it's kinda like the Zelda games for N64.

i suspected that =/. Now i'm hooked on Dungeon Siege for PSP. That was about what i was looking for but for PS1. I'm happy with Dungeon Siege for PSP actually :)
