Its fine as is imo. Just enough to go out and get a feel of the car under a heavy load and double check if TC is off and BB is set right.
tire wear isnt on in Race A or B. and the grip levels are still reduced compared to qualifyingOk then. Tire wear is on for the race, that's why you're finding reduced grip levels. Qualifying is done with it off. If you want to practice race grip levels, you gotta open up a lobby.

You know you can turn them off, right?i try to take out as many brake marker cones as I can but it appears someone stands them back up before the race starts.I am tired of those stupid cones causing me to spin when people hit them and they are on the racing line.
Right now I desperately need the warm up to check my in game FFB settings as it keeps defaulting to 7 for some strange reason which makes my Fanatec almost unusable.![]()
I love warm up laps for going to the toilet and getting drinks !
Sometimes, other times you can match your qualifying times or near enough to, who knows why this is the case. One particular race, a good while back now, will always stick in my mind, that race I was 1 to 1.5 seconds off my best at a Race A at Brands Hatch Indy, it was just odd, like I was driving on ice.
I think a warm-up lap is needed. There are too many races where there's a second gap between 9th and 10th (as an example) as soon as you start the race, yet half a second between another pair. Also, some drivers are in different gears, resulting slower starts to others.
Certainly in S/S races, the leader should control the pace.
