was banned with out warning ?

my user account (benwaballs) was just banned. I just wanted to make sure that my new one is ok. sorry wasn't trying to be rude benoit (benwa) is my last name a teacher gave me the nick name many years ago and is my forum name on about 30 other forums again didn't mean any disrespect. I just wish i was given a warning to change it or something.

Your account was banned for an inapproriate user name, which one of the few instances that allow a moderator to ban an account without any prior warning or notification. You were directed to contact a moderator or an administrator privately about setting up a new account, not create a thread about it (though I don't know if you spoke to anyone else ... but I'm guessing you didn't). I have no issue with your new username, but in future, please follow moderator directions when prompted to.
