I have no clue if any of my friends have told anyone I know on the web yet, but I was involved in an accident today with a friend in Garland.
My friend brought his Prelude in to a dealer for the sensor to the catalytic converter. Dealer took it to a shop who didn't do anything right. We decide to leave. We turn down the road the dealer's on to go back the other way (1 way streets). As we're going through a small intersection between the 2 1-way streets, a guy in a white Explorer runs the stop sign and bang. T-bones us at around 15-20Mph (my guess, no one knows for sure) on my side; passenger side. And besides calling police and all that stuff, that's how it happened.
The reason I post this is so none of my friends or family will come on this account and worry anyone, since most of them don't know the full details. Pictures are just on my phone, but they are enough for everyone to tell me that I was incredibly lucky I suffered no injuries besides a sore joint in the arm.
My friend, though, is crushed. He just bought the car, and hadn't even made its first payment. All I can say is that I'm glad we all walked away without any serious injuries, and that we're fine. The only thing left to find out is whether or not the bottom frame in the Prelude is bent. If so, it's totalled. If not, the police told us it may be repaired. We just don't know how long.
But, it was def. one of the scariest things I had seen because I just caught the SUV out of the corner of my eye, and bang, spun around. I haven't been in t-bone accident like this before, and I'm so glad I came out like I did.
