Okay this is utterly absurd... :mad: I have 2 X1s now, I decided to buy my third one so I collected 20,000,000 Cr. (Bytheway, as mentioned by others already, the limit to your Credits is 20 million. :irked:) After all the hard earnings (or not, as I was using my X1 for the grindings but it did took a seriously long time! :crazy:), I went to the Premium Cars Dealership happily to pick up my red hot X1. Guess what happened... This, is the pure moment of a wet FACEPALM!

But seriously, couldn't they just say it FIRST? What am I gonna do with the 20 Millions now? I'm up for a SUPER trade if anyone wants! :grumpy:
Bytheway, whats with the "At Least 40" message I see all the time? Are there really levels after 40? Sounds like a life after death to me... But still, I'm freaking enjoying the game alot!
 
You should have noticed that earlier as it's the same with any car, they all require that you are at the appropriate level to be able to buy them. ;) :)
 
You are right frason but how would I know? I mean, having the X1s made me think that I'm already eligible to have another X1. Its kinda illogical. Its like "You are allowed to have free cars (X1s) and drive, but your are not allowed to buy them! Only Santa should give you!"
 
Yeah, I don't know why PD decided on the level of 40 instead of 35 (which is the level you automatically receive one in B-spec). The "at least" statement is probably there due to the way that PD has coded the purchase error message not because there are more levels. They probably coded it by making the statement and having the level number pasted into the statement globally in the game for each car. If they would have not done it this way they would have had to manually create an error purchase error for each car. However, they should have made a specific one tied to the X1 such as "You must be level 40 to purchase".

You already have one, why do you need another? And each car has the level below it that you need to be in order to buy it at the dealership. The only thing i'd agree with is that why would they let you unlock it at level 30 to buy, if you can't buy it until you're level 40? I think something got lost in translation with this game

I'm sorry, but this is so funny....

It quite clearly says at level 30 (when the car appears for the first time in the New Dealership) that it is a Level 40 car...

ALSO, the whole A and B Spec game is based on Levels.. have you not been paying attention for the past 5 weeks or so, or has it been just total luck that EVERY event, EVERY race and EVERY car you have tried to enter or buy, just so happened to be the level you were on at that time (or under)..

Or both of the Ferrari F1's if you don't have them.
 
even with enough money... you still have to grind your ass up to lvl 40.. to just to get your hands on those bad boys... don't worry though i got ya back haha
 
Isn't the FGT event open at 23 or something but you can't buy the car till your level 24.
Improper testing there methinks.
 
It says your level must be at least 40, could this be a hint of a future raise in level cap?
 
Yeah, I noticed that when I'd saved about 4 million towards an X1. It's completely ridiculous - they put that car in a lot of advertisements, and yet what percentage of GT5 players are ever going to get to level 40? Way, WAY less than 1% would be my guess.

Meh...whatever. I've grown pretty damned used to disappointment at this point in the game. I'm at level 30 and I purposely drove my Enzo straight into a concrete wall at 170 mph. There's a small scuff in the paint. :rolleyes:
 
I think a lot of players will get it. In fact anyon ewho really wants it will get it either by getting to level 30 and winning it or by getting to level 35 B-Spec and getting it as an award or by getting one from a friend I have 2 already and will be getting 2 more soon.

I can understand that!

Still, there are three X1 models; the Vettel, the Concept and the 'Vanilla'. With 20 colours of 'Vanilla' model that's 22 to collect.

Presuming that you win the Vettel and the Concept and purchase the 20 'Vanillas' that would require a spend of 400,000,000 Cr. :D

I had my FGT at A-Spec 21. My B-Spec was 25 at the time. You only need one of the two Specs to be of level to make the purchase.

They aren't "free" if you have to win a race to earn it. Also, you get the MINOLTA before you could buy it. This happens a lot in this game that you can own a car which is a higher level than you are allowed to purchase. For some reason, the X2010 seems to stand out above the others.

For the sake of all those who have got to lvl 40 and are no longer collecting XP, I hope this is not the case.
 
Hahahaha Dumb Ass ;) No offense intended but it's not like you don't have enough credits to buy it because you have. It's your level, you should have 40 and you are on 34.

I am sure your post was only half-serious, but still... get a life.

The X1 does absolutely nothing for me to be honest. It has not much to do with driving a car. Seeing sub 4 Minute Nordschleife times somhow feels sad to me. This track deserves better than this. I can appreciate somebody driving their a*s off in a sportscar to get below 8 or below 7:30.

But the X1 just annoys the heck out of me and I can´t really articulate why that is.

Strange.
