I've got my permit! So all you better watch for me on the roads.. :crazy:

Haa, just kidding. But yes, i got my permit finally! Got it on the first try, too.. I only missed 4, 3 of which i didnt know, and 1 i read wrong. Anyway, i just thought i'd let you all in on my excitement!

(And yes, i'm 17 1/2 going on 18, and i could have taken it earlier. But i didnt. :\)

Damn straight. You need to have two hands on the wheel - so drink before you drive. 👍
 
Awesome, we're born in the same year on the same day, just different months.

I will be turning 18 next month.

But congrats.

It took me my 2nd time b/c all I did was play around and think, no big deal. Anyone about to get their permit needs to realize...there's more to driving than JUST driving.

You have you, and a bunch of idiotic brainless morons driving around, doing straight out dumb things. Always be thinking of what you will do when the other people around you do something stupid, even if they don't.
 
17 1/2? You could have waited untill you were 18 and just got your real lisence. Atleast that's how it is in Florida.

Anyway, congrats. 👍 I still need to get mine! :indiff:

They do that the same way in France.

Except at 14, you can get a license to drive a moped.


Anyways, here in Tx., you can get it at 16, but you must be 18 to buy a car.
 
You can be 14 in Alberta to get your license, and there's no need for a license to drive/ride/pedal a moped. God I hate those things.
 
In Brazil you can only get a permit after you´re 18. And after the first year, if you haven´t commited any infractions (that´s a word right?) you get your permanent permit, which has to be renewed every five years.

Congrats on getting your permit! Just don't drive like an idiot is my advice. Use common sense, pray you don't come near too many morons, and you'll do fine driving.

wow that really sucks that you had to wait that long. i got mine when i was 14. then got my restricted dl when i was 15 and full dl at 16. but anways good luck and drive safe.

Thats what I did, only because my first instructor was one of the craziest people I ever had the pleasure of meeting:D

Anywho, Congrats Acid,, makes me glad I'm on the other coast ;) :D
 
I'll be 22 in May, and I still have my permit. /shrug

I prefer my bike to my busted-@ss Bronco II, anyway. :crazy:

If I had something worthy of taking to the track, now...

I may be a little more motivated. 💡
 
Congratulations! My advice is to avoid tickets. Tickets themselves are not that bad, but if you're under 25 and have been cited too many times, your insurance rates will skyrocket. I know some kids, whose monthly insurance premium is higher than the car payments(nice cars).
 
I still haven't got mine and I've been 18 for four months. :indiff:

I guess I should go get it before they change all the rules and make you have the P plates for longer and make the questions harder. :dopey:
 
I got my permit in Jan and I am 15. I live in FL incase you were wondering. We do alot of crazy **** in drivers ed but when its time to be serious I am really good according to the teacher. :D

There's almost no traffic in Florida -- no wonder you get your permit so early! :grumpy:

No matter, though. I have my senior license. :sly:

Anywho, i could have gotten my permit 2 years ago, but i never finished drivers ed.. I just kinda forked it off. But i decided to get my permit before i turn 18 so i can get some experience in before hand (not that i dont have any ;)).
 
I need to hurry up and get my full license.. I'm not gangsta enough to cruise around pimping my hoes and picking up the *****es while breaking the law :(
 
So this means 6 more months and you have a license i believe?

In Australia you get learners at 16.5 and you have that for 6mths and then at 17 you get P's, im not sure how long P's are, 3 years i think.

Some of you guys can drive so youg :scared: :lol: :indiff:
