So last night I put bob in the GT World Championship. He's leverl 13 but my b-spec level is 14, and I put him in the race modified Corvette. Several of the races where close, and I had to stay on top of the strategy to get him the wins.

The last race though was awesome. Bob battled his ___ off with a Ford GT race car. I found myself watching the thing like an actual race, calling on him to push. On the last lap bob had the lead. With two turns to go all his strength and mental strength were gone. All I could do was stress as I watched the Ford get closer and closer, but on the final straight bob dug deep and matted the throttle, winning the race and netting me the Zonda R as a prize car.

I just had to share this, it's been the best b-spec event of my game so far.

I'm still waiting for a moment like that . My highest ranking Bob, V Ferrari is getting better with every race and looking forward to close races where he doesn't drive with a mental defect

Noob question, why does everyone call their B-spec drivers' "Bob"?

It's a traditional thing... back in GT4 we used to call the driver that took over in endurance races "Bob"... a general moniker for the nameless driver... I guess some things never change...

I was proud of my guy last night. He was on the high speed ring in my maxed-out Countach, but there was a Pagani that was a little faster. On a couple of occasions, my guy managed to draft the Zonda and take the lead - one of those occasions being just before the finish line on the final lap!

That was actually a pretty cool race 👍

I had a good B-spec race in the Muscle Car thing. I gave him a RM Camaro made for the online series(stage 2 motor) and The AI C5 Z06 was fast enough that he had a tough time passing him for a good 5 lap. I backed him off a bit to let him get into that area just right of the center in his red/blue bar. Then on the last lap I pace him up and he caught up to the vette into the chicane on the back straight of Daytona, he nosed in, nudged the AI on the entry of the chicane, AI ran wide into the grass but came right back, they banged doors, then Bob just squeezed through on the exit to hold him off and win the race....

He gets substantially better the more races you run. He can now drive a fairly powerful car, stays in the red longer without over driving corner exist(powerslide) and pass cars...I am impressed...

It would be cool if you unlock the Stig as a driver... I'm getting tired of U.Rizzo braking on straights and nearly blowing the engine on late gear changes.

One of my Bobs really shocked me last night too. Was running the American champs at Laguna Seca and no matter what I did he just sat there in 3rd place, lap after lap. Halfway through the next to last lap he just exploded past the cars in front of him and waxed their butts. He won by like 15 car lengths. I was blown away that he actually saved his tires for the end. Now if he could just pull his head out on nostalgia Monaco.

I've just raced the sundat cup with my B-spec driver and I don't find why there's a lot of people complaining for this mode, all you need to do is give him the correct car for the race and his level and look all the time the race, check the metal and physical strengh and with the comands try to keep him between cool and hot, obviously if you push it a lot he is going a make a lot of mistakes, is all about HR Management lol, and infact is like watching a race on Speed channel 👍

After all the BS complaining about Bob's I finally read someone who has figured out the very simple equation to making B-spec work.

b-spec isn't so bad once you get used to it, and there's even a few good prize cars hidden in there.

I noticed also that he really got a lot better around Level 15. He beat the VW Polo Championship in a "stock" GTI Cup Car against exactly the same competition. Kudos!

I haven't unlocked the endurance races yet, but does anyone know if you can start the race in A-spec then change to Bob when you pit for tyres like int GT4? Cant stomach the thought of driving a whole 24hr race... :)

Sometimes my bob sucks and sometimes he is just awesome. Just had a ten laps race, he was 2nd for the whole time. In the last curve he overtook the 1st guy and won. Wow I am happy!

I now have 5 Bobs, all over level 25. They all do great when they have an overpowered car vs the opposition. They have completed the first 4 endurance races with no issues. But none of them is good in a Nascar.

As they level up I have found that they do respond to the inputs you give them. Although without any input from you I have found that cooler drivers drive slower than hotter drivers.

I am going to create a new driver in the next couple of days, and level him in a few endurance races but for the first time I will choose a really hot personality type. See if he can do Nascar eventually. I will try and report back.

Nice work! I must say I have had a couple of stuations similar to this. Im juming up and down yelling at the TV. Good times!

An online B Spec mode. Battling it out with other players Bob's would actually be pretty fun I rekon!

Cool stuff, I actually am starting to like B-spec better as well. My lead driver just did the Gallardo Race in a completely stock Gallardo, and drove very well, few mistakes and took first place on the last corner of the 11th and final lap.

wow great story. i am glad to see i'm not the only one who enjoys b-spec. i'm getting kinda tired of hearing "why are you watching the game play itself?"

Some nice stories in here! And I generally enjoy reading the positive side of things, tired of too much moaning going on all too often.... at the end of the day nobody is being forced to play...

In the chat I refer to my dude as BSB cause of typing laziness, which made me think "right, bull-****-bob" actually suits, but as he is getting better now I also enjoy watching some of the close racing bein brought to you!

Just the one make races annoy a bit, I usually end up spending more on tuning cars I'll probably never drive myself than BSB makes :scared:

Good to read that seams to change when he gets higher in the stats, thanks guys, good to have something to look forward too :)

Nope. It's all Aspec or all Bspec. Can't mix them.

I just got to B spec lvl 22 today. Races with 2 drivers is cool. I love placing low lvl drivers in high lvl races with equally matched cars. It makes you earn your wins through car setup and strategy.

Its Over Bob an Bob an Bob an Bob have won the 6th Indy 500 of this week ffs

Race Time was 2hours 29mins and 48.138 Seconds :dopey:

Race 7 to follow :yuck:

Oh deep joy :grumpy:

What drives me nuts is when Bob takes a turn too quickly and does a 180. Then he waits until all cars have passed him by, landing him in 12th place. That just pisses me off, lol :p

Or he fishtails and skids all over the place for apparently no reason. I guess he had a panic attack...
