Way to save camera settings?

Is there a way to save settings we use in the camera menu? e.g. I prefer to take 16x9 aspect ratio shots, but I have to reset the aspect ratio from the default everytime I take a picture (even within the same replay). Is there some secret way to make settings more permanent?

So is this a dumb question that should be obvious and or has been discussed ad nauseam elsewhere?
Is the answer no and or no one knows how?

as far as i know there is no save feature for your camera settings.
Wish there was so at least we could take some photos at the red bull hanger in the 5 seconds of daylight that there is.
