Yes that was real confusing, not.

Yeah commentators and the like sure seem to play up the whole confusing aspect but it isn't really. Honestly if all you knew was use too many parts over the season and you get a grid penalty that would be enough understanding

Also the proposal by some to fine the team instead of having the grid penalty seems kinda backwards. Lets stop teams spending too much money by making them spend more money whenever they spend too much money.

Exactly. The monied up teams would happily pay a fine to ensure they win.
