Or, how about they take just a few seconds, and think before posting a new thread?Surely, they should be able to reach the conclusion that a topic such as this, has probably been covered by a forum as large as this.

Or even better. How about the mods on this site did something to stop new people from constantly posting duplicate threads! Sure, this would mean that the mods would actually have to do some work, but none the less, it would do wonders on the board. How to do this, you ask? Simple. The first 2-3 threads a new person creates, has to be approved by a mod before being made public. New people would simply create a thread, and then the thread remains hidden from puplic view, until a mod has approved it. This is a great system, that would stop at least 75% of the constant wishlist threads, among other duplicate threads.

I don't have anything personal against anyone on the forum. It just bugs the hell out of me to see the mods stand by the sideline, instead of doing something constructive about the problems here. And effort into what? The Mods on this site don't listen to anyone but themselves.

Besides, new wishlist threads by a new forum users is hardly a big threat to the community. I think it's more annoying when old forum users feels the need to greet new forum users with sarcasm, because that might scare new users away and in the long run that's not good for anyone.

Also, how would you expect every new forum user to be familliar with what's covered already and not + forum etiquette? Everything is not written down in the AUP or other similar documents and a lot of it is tacit knowledge which you only aquire after spending some time on the forum.

Look at the second post, that's a reference to the appropriate forum thread for the topic and that's all that's needed really. The rest of it will come with time.

That looked like coaching to me, and it was the first reply. What was the OP's reply to it? It was proof that what's needed isn't coaching.

Having had posts with value closed due to "traffic and the prevalence of pointless threads," it does interest me to reduce said prevalence.

Exactly what I was trying to convey, if new users were given a link to forum etiquette like I said in my post then people wouldn't complain. However, it is going to happen and somedays it does get annoying, but it is far more worse when flame wars by new users are started or spam.

As for German cars...I'd say ratio wise to premium there aren't as many as some would like, not even standard wise. I think there are far more American cars in both groups than German. The one that needs a thread to me is the British cars and Korean even. Well to be honest there was a Korean car thread/wishlist wanting DLC.
