In our Club (1001937) we sometimes run endurance races (1 1/2 to 2 hrs) on tracks with weather. The last two that we did I set the weather speed to 1 and the rest of the options to 0. Thinking it might rain but maybe not. And if it did it would get to say 20 to 30 percent water on the track and then clear back up. Well the last two races I held it did not rain until around 30 minutes in and then it got to 100% water on the track and stayed that way the rest of the race and never let up.

Anybody know a good setting where the race would start clear and then maybe rain and if so it will clear back up again?

I am thinking maybe it is the speed option but have not had a chance to play with it yet.

Thanks for the help and advice.

That's the thing about the weather. It may, or it may not change. That's why it is called weather changeability.

What you could do is: start the race at 40-50% weather. That way there is some sort of cloud cover or light rain on the circuit already. You could run with a changeability of one or two. There is no guarantee that it will do as you wish, because the weather doesn't do that. You may get a situation where it just rains harder, and harder, and harder, or you may get a situation where it rains for a bit and then dries up, or you may get a situation where it doesn't rain at all.

To add to that, the speed setting is a direct ratio.
So a setting of 1 means that 1 hour in real life = 1 hour on game.
Or, let's say you want to run a '24 hour' race and have it held over a 1 hour period, you would set the speed setting to 24.

So if you set the speed to 4 for a 2 hour race, you could get 8 hours worth of weather (eg. 8am - 4pm) during your event.

Here's the relevant page from the manual.
