Well i am still fuming from throwing the GTE win away in the last 5mins of the race :banghead: i did the same thing at suzuka and handed the win to plux.

It was a very good race at Madrid tho guy's, very close in the GTE class 👍

Penalties:

Lap 2 – Redbullrider20: Jump start
Verdict: Warning

Lap 2 – Zovomirbasten – Long-haired-lout – Redbullrider20: Avoidable contact
Verdict: 60 secs
This is the second race where there has been an incident of out braking on cold medium tyres, the first at motegi was lucky as only a small amount of damage was caused and no one was affected by speed. This time 2 drivers races were affected by very heavy damage. Zovo you are the only car to start on medium tyres, it will not be possible to get into turn one at the same rate as the cars around you, please take this into consideration for the next race or reprimands may be given.

Lap 2 – Long-haired-lout: Pit Line
Verdict: Warning

Lap 5 - Long-haired-lout – TDZ-4-12-14-88: Contact
Verdict: NFA
Only minor contact and no damage sustained.

Lap 11 - Redbullrider20: Pit Line
Verdict: 30 secs

Lap 22 - Long-haired-lout - memto89: Blue Flags
Verdict: Warning

Lap 30 – Zovomirbasten – Chozza_32: Blue Flags
Verdict: Warning

Lap 45 – Oalithgow - Zovomirbasten: Avoidable contact
Verdict: 60 secs
As you said in your race report there were a number of factors that caused the incident and im sure you are taking the steps to avoid this happening again.

Lap 50 – Redbullrider20 – Duke-adam46: Contact
Verdict: NFA
Only minor contact and minor damage sustained no time lost, and audi R8 LMS went on to set personal best lap.

Lap 55 – Oalithgow: Pit Line
Verdict: 30 sec

Lap 61 – duke-adam46 – Chozza_32: Avoidable contact
Verdict: 60 secs
Lines are everything with racing, multi class racing more so than any other. Taking a wide line only to move to an inside line along with not checking mirrors properly means that you caused an LMP damage enough for it to crash heavily in the next turn.

Lap 61 – Chozza_32: Pit Line
Verdict: 30 secs
aykj.jpg

Lap 61 – Chozza_32: Tyre infrindgement
Verdict: 185 secs
On Mediums: 42:18
Off Mediums: 1:19:13

Lap 86 – Richyboy2mil: Pit Line
Verdict: 30 secs

Lap 91 – Chozza_32: Pit Line
Verdict: 30 secs

Note:
Oalithgow - Well done on the Med tyre stint doing a 40.04 min stint, when people talk about cutting it fine, this is defiantly one of those times lol

Blue Flags - People need to be careful of this as there were a few incidents where people where trying to fight to stay on the lead lap, but they were not fast enough and were caught on merit by the leading driver, in that case you should not be fighting with that driver, It is very possible for you to destroy someone’s race by doing this.

Overall it was a very good clear race with the understandable contact etc etc, very well done to everyone great race.

The Least pit stop award is shared by plotnik and richyboy who both stopped 4 times in the race!!!

Sorry for causing you damage Chozza. I looked at the replay and it was certainly my fault, silly accident on my part.

Madrid Review

Memto89 takes crucial victory!
With jonnyb1990 not able to race, memtos championship bid needed a second victory, after being robbed at daytona and a penalty taking him off the top step at Laguna Seca, memto finally sealed his 2nd victory of the season at the circuit that all the drivers feared would be troublesome.

Plotnik moves into championship lead!
After Motegi, Plotnik was in 2nd place in the GTE standings 9 points behind i-was-ere, however he failed to turn up at Madrid costing him the championship lead, Plotnik went on to take maximum points from Madrid giving him a 3 point lead. RichyB28 who missed Motegi, finished in second and moved to within 6 points of Plotnik.

Ninners scores another podium
Since Ninners was brought in to take over the BMW seat, he has had plenty of success, scoring 3rd and 2 2nd places at Motegi and Madrid, meaning he has scored the most points in the last 3 races, his results have moved him within striking distance of Chozza who has 34 Points.

Onto the home of Ferrari and the famous 'Tifosi'
FerrariFlag.jpg

The next destination for our very skilled drivers is Monza, the home of the prancing horse, a combination of slow chicanes, long straights and big braking zones mean this circuit is well known around the world, we caught up with Ninners for a quick chat.
"I think Monza is a very historic and special venue, the Tifosi, the history, the feeling of driving this circuit is very special, it has everything that a circuit needs, also the weather can be tricky to predict at times, but we think rain may be heading to the circuit on race day but that isn't a problem, I live the challenge of driving in the rains and I'm looking forward to it, my target will be to finish in the top 2, hopefully ahead of chozza so I can jump him in the standings, but I can't jump in the sky just yet, I know we have very fast competitors that won't make things easy, but I think the crew and myself have a pretty good chance of fighting with the top guys, you can never rule out anybody on these long straights, it's going to be tough that's for sure!"

^ S'alright Nin, come 2015 Ferrari will be back in LMP1. Honest.

Really hope GT6 has a 458 GT3 or GTE car, seems to be a surprising absence.

w9qb.jpg

Track: Monza
Laps: 75 + pace lap
Weather: Sunny spells with a strong chance of rain

+) Pits, Pit lines will be monitored both in and out of the pits so make sure you keep it clean.

+) Overtaking, Its Monza so be careful as there are big straights for that.

+) 2 rounds left, there are only 2 rounds left in season 2, many people are fighting for championship places so try and keep it clean, penalties can hurt your standings

+) Everyone has done a great job over the season so well done and keep up the good work ;)

+) Testing day, The test day will be on wednesday at the normal time

I'm looking forward to the weather too, even if I struggle in the wet, I'm happy to take on the challenge :)

Me and Chozza are in a tight scrap for 4th, with his Toyota being quick here things could get tricky for me to overhaul him.

I'll also be changing my GT5 winning message as a tribute to Sean Edwards and Maria De Villota, such a sad week, if I remember that is.

Just incase people miss it,

I do plan to be at the test day,

I might actually have to drop out with my current residential situation. But I will do what I can and I might be at the practice tonight. I like Monza but I need work in the rain.

Best time was a 1:31.7 for me, could have been faster too, I was 0.1 up on chozza before I outbraked myself at Parabolica and ended up 0.4 down, and that was before I made some changes to improve the balance under braking, hence why I was abit off the pace in my opening laps.

EDIT: Down to a 1:31.3 with 1:33.8 on mediums after a successful front tow angle change which cured the understeer I was suffering earlier, still trying to the sort braking out.

im crying... just watching my title hopes going up in smoke lol

Sadly for you I sorted out my braking issues, it took me 3 hours to sort out, should be looking good now, but I think that Toyota is the car to beat at the moment.

Looks like I will be praying for rain then lol

I tested in the rain too, not with the weather the race will be in, but a random 100% surface water, then drying to 0% so I know how to drive in the rain too, and when to change tyres, and I had a 2 hour practice in the dry with the race weather settings and not even a single drop appeared :P

What times are the GTE drivers getting?

1.47.0 is my best time so far adam, I hope to get abit quicker after some more running tonight.

Monza wont suit my viper to much as i'm lacking a bit of power on the straights but I think over a race distance my viper should be in the mix (I hope), so I will be doing some long run practice this evening, to see how my tyres hold up.

I'm quite worried about my connection this time.

Hoping for a good result, especially as I replaced gprili who comes from Italy so I'm hoping to have a good result for him.
