Thats a big swing there. Why so big of an increase in power and weight? Tires won't last as long anymore, going to be lots of pitting. So no R10 stealth?? I spent more time with it to get it hooked up too! Damn... It would actually be competitive with the others increased weights.

Looking at Wednesday at normal race time for testing session, it would be wise for people to show up to test their new cars!!!!!

Make them move around more on power, increase top speed, and to balance them better, I have tested some of the cars at 2 tracks and they are within .300 of each other for me,

Can we please get a quick roll call for Wednesday 22nd 8-9PM BST Test session.

I havent seen loose squirely lmp's before. Theyre low weight for a reason  Top speed wasn't an issue, just the differences between the lmp's. You still haven't said anything about the R10, I'll be at the test n give it a go.

The R10 has been tried, but it's so far off in the corners that the only way to balance it is far too much top speed. It's simply not got the same performance characteristics as the rest of the field.

Working for me. The issue I feel is the 5 speed transmission. But with only 20hp more and 30kg less than the Peugeot I was about .5-1.0 second slower. So with the new specs, I think 920-940kg with 691hp would be very competitive.

My only criticism of the new specs is the fact its now completely non-driver based so someone who doesn't get on with a car at that spec is now stuffed. What I would say to do is run this test and from the times there do 1 final adjustment to make the cars balanced for all drivers and their respective strengths...

Put it this way: Matt vs myself (I'm using us as we have been closest on pace so far - 2 poles for him, 2 fastest laps for me)
In the old specs =
Matt had 532BHP, 950KGs
I had 532BHP, 960KGs

In this spec we were absolutely even and it made for great racing...

In the new specs Matt has gained not only 30BHP on me but lost 30KG on me... I could understand the gain in power OR the loss in weight but both seems like overkill on the Bentley (R8's too)

I think we need a shakedown test and then make some last adjustments...

Yeah, at a couple different tracks too. That way we can see the disparity over a good range.

All cars have been tested over 5 tracks and the times from all the cars are very very close over all of them, there will be no respecing of the cars as all the stewards are happy with the pace of all the cars

So you are completely disregarding the opinions of your drivers after a major respec of a successful series during the middle of the season? That is an exceedingly bold and foolhardy move there Matt...

A shakedown test is the best idea... It will make everyone happy, why can't you see this?!

That's simply not true, throughout the season there has been moaning about cars being overpowered. This way a driver who utilises more skill, or has a better set-up will be faster. Not just the guy who's been slowest and thus given the best car.

But why not do a shakedown test with those who ACTUALLY will drive the car... It does no harm to do so...

Thats your pace, not everyone else.

We never claimed we could run the same pace as each other, but we can all pull similar lap times out of the cars to our own capabilites, at different circuits,

I could understand the unhappyness had it been just one or 2 circuits, I took the cars to Motegi and Suzuka and manged to have every flying lap of all cars within .300 of each other at my skill level, if there aren't multiple skill levels then there isn't a reason to run different cars and if there isn't different cars then everyone running the same car at different spec's would be just nonsense,

But catering to different skill levels is an important factor... The only way to do this is to adjust them

At this rate, we might as well run these cars at their real life specs...

In my opinion I think you should have waited at least one more race before you re-specced, considering spa was mainly wet and didn't give a clear representation of the cars performances with the various tweaks made to the original spec.
