Just checking if there would be any interest in running a Wednesday night (US EST) GT series? Races would be about an hour with 30 mins beforehand for setup and qualifying. Aids would be limited to just TCS & ABS, racing mediums and damage set to heavy.
Cars: Weight/HP Downforce
GM Corvette ZR1 - 1221kg/599hp - 0/20
Ferrari F458 - 1232kg/585hp - 10/40
Ford GT - 1203kg/578hp - 0/40
Dodge Viper ACR - 1257kg/597hp - 10/40
Lotus Esprit V8 - 1144kg/561hp - 0/20
Audi R8 4.2 - 1264kg/600hp - 10/40
Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 - 1169kg/573hp - 0/20
McLaren F1 - 970kg/444hp - 20/65
Nissan R390 - 1062kg/470hp - 35/80
Lamborghini Murcielago SV - 1268kg/612hp - 5/30
Alfa Romeo 8C - 1284kg/629hp - 0/20
I've listed the weight/hp and downforce as I've used this formula:
weight / 2 = hp - (total downforce as a single digit percentage)
So for example the Viper ACR:
1257 / 2 = 628.5 - 5% = 597hp
To calculate the settings, it's pretty rough and really isn't expected to be anything serious. More cars can be added if they're atleast able to make the formula correctly, have downforce and preferably are premium.
Tracks would be a mix of real and GT originals along with some street courses thrown in to mix it up a bit.
It's not expected to be anything serious (that's what the weekend race series' are for) and hopefully it can be a bit of fun. This could also provide a bit of a testbed for the GTP governing body to work on it's rules and regulations.
Thoughts?
