Brilliant kent,

one quetion what is difference between castrol and arta? and where do i win castrol nsx

Well, I'm not sure about where to find a prize car version of the Castrol.

Found it!
https://www.gtplanet.net/gt3/prizecars/Pro.htm

Thing is, I really picked the Castrol because it is availible through the Honda Dealer!

Also, regarding the differences between the castrol and the arta (or the raybrig for that matter).

I don't know of any on a technical level.
In the specs page they are all exactly identical (except for the break-in required for the castrol).

However, many people will testify that there is some sort of subtle difference between the three.

I couldn't really say.
Some times I feel like there are differences between the identical cars, others I don't.

Example...
Castrol supra at Complex String II : I stuck with the densos at GT3Times 👍

Example 2...
Calsonic at laguna seca in week 85 : I came in second... less than .1 behind Mr P in the Zexel. 👍

So basically, I'm not really sure.
But frankly, it really could be a mental thing for the driver. ;)

well i will either run the All Japan GT Championship in pro or do some rubber band tricks with the escudo to buy it. i muss well do the race, that way i can get some prize money as well.

If I wanted to make some money, have some fun doing it, and do it all in a hurry...

Go do the DTM race series (in full, not individual races from it).

It gives you great prize cars and it gives you great prize money for each race.

Plus, each race is short. 👍

Trust me, I don't remember exacts but I know it is worth the time and definately one of the best money makers in the game.

Go ask some one like famine if you don't believe me. ;) :D

yeah i belive you, but not only does all japan give me money and castrol but it adds to my completion rate 👍 it wont take long in a F1 or 787B

all right then I guess I'll post the first times. Stage 4 turbo, and T8's ASM and TCS off.

Best lap:
T1: 23.417
T2: 50.952

Just one question. No tire wear right? it dosen't have it for me, did I change a setting somewhere?

yeah no tire wear, this cant be changed i dont think, only for 2P battles, which is in the options somewhere.

BTW done 2 races now up to test course :( 15 laps, even with the 787B its gonna take a while. avg 24min a race

Superbe, Kent

You only have tyre wear in arcade single race in professional mode (L1 + R1), so you have got the correct race, Inferno 👍

finished the test course and quited out of champion ship, did what kent sugested and won the gillet vertigo race car, (after 10 tries). then bought my nsx. now i only have 85,000cr im so poor. Gonna go hunting for settings then will get some runs down

Week 19, NSX's used only 600 odd hp SSR5 II wet, but none the less here are settings from the top guys back then

See which ones you like, and im sure Hugo Boss will be kind enough to post his concoction as well.

used Mr.P's settings and got a 47.4xx T3, however i saw a 47.0xx dirty. its all about the 3 corners before T2 and the last 2, at least for me anyway

How this works??

Should we post our best lap time or the time from the full race?
And does it matter how much you finish in the race?

Cheers,

well if you dont come 1st in this race then i would worry a lot. Second just post the full time to kent id say, though he might want the lap times im not sure.

Clean race, 3rd lap was a very very nice one, nearly .4 faster than 2nd.

26.706 / 21.412 / 21.245
52.910 / 47.145 / 47.010

3rd lap i nailed the last sector so good, if i can do that on all 3 laps i think i can lower my overall time by a second at least.

After a quick run with just some testing of settings my best lap was

T1 22.110
T2 49.627

Ran first stint accidently with ASM on and I cannot recommend it! :)

I'm sure I'll need the entire week this time just to get a decent clean run!

Cheers!

Update:

27.389 / 22.016 / 21.935
54.844 / 48.893 / 48.776

This is my best clean lap so far.. Seen T1 around 21.6XX though.. Can do better but the hard part is to keep it clean! :scared:

Oh well.. No more racing for me today..

Cheers!!

Best lap so far:

T2:0:48.118

👍

Cheers,

@Small_Fryz: Thx for the settings! 👍 I used Mr. P's settings, just briliant settings!

@Kent:What do we have to submit? The full race time or our best lap time? 👍

Well there seem to be a bunch of questions.

Only post T Times.
Only the Castrol NSX
Submit all three laps and the full race time

Will change the first post to show these important points. 👍

Back later today with times (I'm excited to try this  )

Hey Kent just one more question for you. Is it ok if we run practice laps for this week in free run mode? obvously I realize free run times wouldnt be submitable, but what i mean is, I would like to log a few (hundred) laps of this course and try to find... well, everything. I have no clue how to drive this course, and learning it in three lap stints is really getting annoying.

I know I am not Kent, but I think you can run as many practice laps as you want. I wouldn't see why not, I mean, unless practicing is considered a type of cheating :D ;)

As long as the times you submit come from the Single Race, 3 Laps, then you should be good 👍

The Wizard.

Wizard has it right.

Practice all you want in free run, but make sure your submitted time is the 3 lap race from arcade mode. 👍

Btw, Im already doing that and should be back with t times and maybe a setup. ;)

Edit:
Just finished about 60 miles in free run.
Horse Power is at about 1012.
T2 is down to about 46.2
Can see 45 being there for the fast people and those who manage to get settled in with the car's suspension and the courses walls.

Just remember, keep it clean fellas.
Work on clean laps, not just fast ones.

I hate that, but I need to stress that because we are clean racers here in the WRS. 👍

Not easy to get a clean race time here, but that has got it's charme :)

After a while I managed a fast clean race:
26.297 / 20.913 / 20.826
50.676 / 45.670 / 45.710

My settings:

12.0 / 17.6
64 / 62
10 / 10
10 / 10
1.0 / 0.6
+0.5 / 0.0
6 / 7
16 / 14
5 / 32 / 22

Gears:
3.313
2.409
1.935
1.630
1.377
1.177
3.300
Auto 21
DF: 1.00 / 1.22
ASM & TCS = 0

This setup works for the DS2 too, as I got a 45.2 in Free Run with both the DS2 and the DFPro :)

Woah you all guys get T2's of 47.xxx, 46.xxx and better!

I'm still strugling between 0:48 and 0:47 at the T2 but with Hugo's settings I should be fine 👍

Cheers,

107 km. My best (and only) clean hotlap:

21.980
48.751

Can't wait to relax with the 3-lapper. :dopey:

45.6xx man that is quick, ive seen 46.6xx but its getting all 3 laps consistent. Gonna Give Hugo's settings a burn as the helped me lots last week. hopeing to get low 46.xxx or even 45.xxx.

Hugo how do you take the 3 turns before T2?

Small_Fryz
Hugo how do you take the 3 turns before T2?

With a DS2 you can fully attack the first righthander in 3rd gear (take it as close as possible to the inside wall), with a wheel you need to take it a little wider and don't hit the inside curb with more than 2 wheels (or the car will jump resulting in a spin most of the time).
Don't enter the following lefthander too early. Lift the throttle for a second and steer into the corner. When you steer a little later, you can start the long righthander from the outside left resulting in a high exit speed which brings you a lot of time up to T2 and afterwards. When you try it, you'll get the hang of it :sly:

That lefthander is the Achilles heel of my setup. The car feels great in every corner, except that one :yuck: . It's hard to take it consistantly fast...

just tried your setup and well, my inconsitency is ridiculis. Your settings are brilliant though 👍.

Did a clean race, 1.4 seconds faster overall than preivous clean race

26.575 / 21.229 / 21.103
52.062 / 46.483 / 47.052

1st lap was brillaint, if i could paste my 1st lap last sector to my other laps i would of improved another 1 second at least. I either get last sector nailed or i lose .6 or more.

Hugo im starting to get the hang of it round that section, just need to practise some more. You must drive this circut a lot as you are miles ahead of everyone even for your standards, Im hopeing for a div 1 podium again :sly:. But i need low 51.xxx and 46.xxx or even 45.xx with good last sectors for that to happen.

Quick question: Do we submit the combined 3 lap time, or just our best lap time?
