Thanx Kent!

No racing today

Neil

Sorry, I didn't mean to be offensive by posting my last reply.
I was just trying to discuss some of the finer points in the racing, well, the history of the racing that is. ;)

Like I said, I have no problem with any of you running the R390GT1.
It is perfectly acceptable to run that car, and more-so since it is such a blast to drive the thing.

I mean, regardless of the over-kill it represents compared to "the rest of the cars," I still think it is fun as hell to drive.
With so much downforce, such great gearing, and awesome handling, there is no suprise it is the car of choice this week.

Any way,
Keep up the great racing everybody!

i realise this is the wrong thread, but i didnt want to miss it, and i cant seem to find it. dont wanna sound pressing cos i realise the mods are busy, but where are the team results???

i really wanna see them!!!!

@Kent

I was saying thank-you for the compassion you showed in your final comment mate.
And, saying that i wasn't going to be racing today because of what has happened, out of respect.

I have friends in London, and thank god they are ok. 👍

Maybe I'm just too old school for this but I remember a time when races like this brought about mini-races (pun intended).

You're not the only one thinking back to those days, Kent. I've been out of the WRS for quiet a while, but decided to re-join this week. And when I first read your post about this weeks race, I immediately thought: MINI TIME :) Only to realise a split second later that GT4 doesn't have the orginial mini :yuck:

Read through all the posts and saw that most people are using the R390, but thought that to be a bit too obvious. So I tried a couple of cars, and so far I'm sticking with the BMW M3 GTR, tuned to 400 hp/1255 kgr. It works pretty well with my driving style 👍

Times so far: 32.234 / 1:11.166

i'm with you neil.

i have friends in London also. very relieved to know they're ok. hope your friends are too.

no racing today.

best wishes to everyone.

Here is my first T times.

T1: 27.7xx
T2: 1'05.9xx

Improvments of 0.5-0.7 seconds is realistic.

:ill: I'm still refusing to run the R390... I've tested a few of my personal favorites, The viper, RX-7, AC 427(UK version of the cobra and it's legal), the NSX-R. Next on my list, if its legal, the Supra, maybe a vette. *sigh* so many cars so little time... BUT NO R390!!!!

Wow, I need to be demoted back to D2, RIGHT NOW. I'm getting slower every week since the promotion. I don't even know how I can get into the low-30s for T1. Let alone the 28-29s from the D1 guys... :(

R390

T1: 30.718
T2: 1'07.317

I'm guessing thats a typo and that should be 29.7xx for T1??? Otherwise that's a time I think no one will touch!

You know vettes are fast..so why tune up your lil honda?

heh, because a lil Honda can handle a 90 degree bend without having to swing the back out lol.

I'm opting for the R390 now, I expected it to be a skitty little bugger but it isnt bad at all. Plus, now i'm geting used to my wheel i'm gonna need all the speed I can get. Me and R34JSE just had a phat session for like 2 hours or something and i'm adapting quite nicely to the stick shifter and have started to catch up on JSE's first lap time with the DS2.

the 1 corner that i loose loads of time in is the one at the bottom of the track just after the most soutern point its has a realy late apex and drops away a little as you approach it. thats the one that gets me every time. EVERY TIME!!!!!!!!! so any help and/or tips would be much appriciate
cheers

AHHHH!!!!! im so mad man!
just hit a 1'04.165 t2

and stuff'd it right after the bridge...

@vtec
the stick shifter is fun no doubt about it!!!, i usually use it the first hour of my session

but to be really competitive, the butterfly is the way to go 👍

what about that crazy NSX-R concept road car is that legal? I can't remember if the top speed is adjustable?

I think itrs eligible, it's just a NSX-R with a carbon fibre hood.

EDIT: oh. do you mean that NSX-R concept LM road car? the thing with the badass bodykit?

I'm guessing thats a typo and that should be 29.7xx for T1??? Otherwise that's a time I think no one will touch!

Oh, forgive me!!! Of course it should be
T1: 29.7xx

Think if I would set a 27 sec time.... what would you all say then?

Just beat my best lap by over 2 seconds. Doesn't really mean much when your as far back as I am.

WRX STI Spec C
T1 - 32.454
T2 - 1'12.282

Is the tuner cars street cars?
Yes, they are considered street cars.

The tires are a good way to tell what is a race car and what is a street car. 👍

Race car always have race tires as an option and street cars only get to pick from sports or normal tires. :D

Back later but I can't really chat right now.
Till next time,

WEll, this is my first week in the WRS. I am in D3 right now, but hope to move up. (I didn't know I had to try so hard in the qualifier).

I should be getting my DFP Tuesday, but for now I'm using the DS2.

T1: 30.2XX
T2: 1:07.899

I feel I can pick up .3 in the first sector, a second or more in the second sector, and I still haven't gotten the third sector down.

I have only run about 8 laps, so another 2 hours or more of testing should get my T2 down to at least 1:05.....HOPEFULLY!!!

<----First post :)
