Nice run Rotorist. I recon if I put my best complexes together I could best that time.

@all
What is the best way to get another persons ghost to chase? You can download the best on the seasonal TTs (which rocks!) but I haven't been able to do that any other way.

Hopefully word will spread! Didn't have a go today, was doing a few licenses, didn't have much time today was very busy for me. Great laps coming in everyone, it's great to see so many people participating! 👍

The only way to do it would be for the other driver(s) to save their "best lap reply" (not normal replay) and then to export to xmb, upload to file share, you download, load through xmb, import in GT5 and then load in the event... rather long winded.

There may be a shorter way of doing things but not to my knowledge

Edit: we are driving the cobra 427 and this is post number 427 for me. *does happy dance*

Haha seems quite difficult! I think we should just stick to camera footage!

Its still sloppy in alot of areas. The L corner at the top of the uphill I took much wider than before (on accident) and it allowed me to take the next R corner much faster. And the chicane after the tunnel was wide. I have no idea how the vehicle isn't disturbed so much I hit the exit sideways.

Still loving the combo! Keep those times coming.

Hey that is a great time Ronald6. You are making it very hard for me to beat you :)

@no1pal:
I'm starting to become comfortable floating the front end through some of the corners. Its like balancing on a tight rope with a hundred pound weight on either end of the pole your holding. As long as you stay balanced no problem, kick out just a little bit too far and... splat.

Learning to break smoother is also helping. Because we can't adjust the BB (I happen to like this) and the breaks lock up so quickly I rarely give more than 1/3 "pedal" (Man, I want a wheel!)

Don't worry. I'm sure you'll post a time I'll have a hard time chasing.

You´re right. At the moment I´m not finding that balance yet. It´s very easy to be to hard or early on the throttle and spin out. I´m not good at drifting..
We´ll se tomorrow :)

im gonna give this another crack tomorrow(together with the seasonal tt).
some great times being posted.
good effort all.

Results from my first session:

timminz / calvin-ball
1:46.008
Wheel (no clutch)
Manual
ABS: 1

This is a tough one, so I'm happy with that for a first try. Still a lot of spots I could improve. I think I can find another second in there, maybe two. Hopefully I'll get another session in, tomorrow.

I think it's actually not that bad once you've done it once or twice(which is all I've done it). The main thing is to make note of the folder structure. For single laps the files aren't too big, although longer replays get huge fast. Also, you do need to watch out for overwriting other replays(in which case you can rename them before copying them to the PS3). Too bad we can't just share them via the game.

BAHH! I can't find any confidence driving this BEAST.. q.q

Whenever they get to it. More than likely one of them will update it tonight.

The physics changed with the spec 2 update but I wouldn't say it were easier or harder than before, just slightly different!

With respect OK8 and Tom Brady not all of us are comfortable on CH tyres, I for one find spinning, understeering and hitting every barrier on CH tyres no fun at all and as unrealistic as RS on Road cars!

I do understand what you mean though, especially the Toscana Lamborghini on RH - only special I can't gold (Excluding Seb vettel)

Maybe one week we should try though just to see?

I would just like all cars to come on their stock tyres though, CS and SH I can handle!

Well we're not saying it's realistic, we're just pointing out that with certain cars it's actually less difficult than driving with high grip tires for the reasons I explained.

If you want true realism, use comfort medium to simulate basic sports road tires, comfort soft to simulate top performance road tires (but not semi-slicks), sports hard, or maybe medium to simulate semi- slicks, sports soft to simulate hard compound racing slicks, racing hard for medium slicks, and racing medium for super soft slicks.

This is all approximate but one thing is for sure, nothing in the real world is anywhere near as grippy as racing soft tires in gt5 so I think they should be banned from the game, or pD should adjust grip levels accordingly. They themselves have stated that the grip levels of these tires are not realistic and that you should use lower grades to simulate real driving

Managed to steal a bit of time tonight...

Probably the best im going to get on this. Dropped 2sec immediately after I realized the reostat on my brake pedal is out to lunch :-( I barely look at it and brakes go to full on. Once I started using paper weight pressure on it I grabbed gobs of time. Also realized I've been listing it as a DFGT instead of DFP :dunce: oh well...

Time for that G27 me thinks...

I don't know, I'm way off the pace, haven't done any more laps since my first run. I think i'm last.

I'm sorry everyone that I haven't updated the leaderboard I have between extremely busy this week and haven't had the time to. Keep putting in the laps everyone 👍

Ditto guys. I am in my final year of uni and my last 3 coursework deadlines are tomorrow, hence the lack of updating! However I'm on it now so give it about half an hour and things should be spiffing!

Right, after realising just how out of date the timesheet was I am very sorry.

It is now up to date and fantastically beautiful.

If you notice I have made a mistake dont hesitate to PM me and i'll be on it like jam on toast!
