Division 1, with the largest turnout? Rare.

Congratulations to missing link. Good to see you again. 👍

I did this so quickly, I didn't have enough time to get frustrated.

So, I'm a happy camper. :) :)

Congrats to all, some stunning times 👍

Thanks to Kent for making it all possible.

I really enjoyed the RX-7. A real sweet ride and very nice handling. It's not the cars fault at all, I didn't do better. I'm gonna take the full responsibility. ;)

And here I was thinking I had left too much time on the track, knowing from analyzer sectors that 1:14.300 was possible :embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed:

But, I am not going ot complain about it.

Replay should be up sometime later this week. Had a fun round! Big fan of the RGT NOW!

Fastest Speed 6! :D I'm suprised only 2 of us run it.

Congrats to Link and the other podium guys!

I think I could have been down in the low 1'16's / high 1'15's, but I couldn't put a whole lap together :irked: Replay to come soon ... I'm pretty happy with my time, but also frustrated because I could see a lot more time on track ...

I also got as low as 1'17.2 in an RX-7 RZ, but didn't manage to make it clean.

And let me just say how fun it was running with everybody this week, especially Div II. It's so great to post some sectors, then have someone else match them and push you to go faster :D this week was a blast

I don't exactly know what I'm doing....I'm trying to post a replay....if this doesn't work, somebody please tell me how?

GT3BESTLSAVE321204000.sps is the right file on my computer

I think I figured it out.... :)

I ran the Ruf RGT in my early testing of cars and knew it was the odds on favorite......but, sorry to the Ruf lovers.....I always disliked them, just a personal prejudice. So, if given the choice of beating them, or joining them.....I will go against the tide everytime.....even if I can't beat them!:P

So, I dogged my Lotus 350 until I got a decent set-up, then dogged that to get to a time I couldn't match myself. The goal started out with 1:17's low as acceptable....then I realized that wasn't going to do. Then I thought, "just break into the 1:16's should do.....then I realized that Link, Danoff, and other RGT's were probably capable of 1:15's!

So, I know I couldn't get there, but I tried to make a fight out of it anyway. I got to where I could go 20.7's in T1.....but the other sectors just would not drop.:banghead:

Best week ever!
After 24 weeks of racing the weekly I got my first division win. I thought Luxy had division 2 locked up this week. Great racing.

Replay up later.

If you haven't yet, you should download Arwin's Replay Manager program...it makes organizing and re-naming your replays very simple. Hundreds of replays like GT3BESTSAVE8374562974.sps can get a bit confusing to say the least:lol:

Check it out here:

I'm still new to this, so stuff that is simple to most.... is a nightmare to me.

I believe I know what to do now.....Thanks for the suggestion.:)

GO!....Missing Link! ....You Da' Man! I thought Danoff was going after you pretty hard, but you prevailed. You top RGT's ran some awesome stuff.....Congradulations to all of you for a hard fought run in the RGT Division.....

WHOA!! i thought i had till tuesday (meaning tuesday night. damn dudes. i did a 20.7/47.2/59.8/1'14.877 with the tiniest off of all time last night and was pretty damned sure i could do it again tonight. dammit, i am the obsolute worst at reading the goddamned instructions for anything.

anyway, since i am a complete moose kak stacking dumbass, i have to give very large congrats to my buddy missing link for ruling this race with an iron fist. welcome to the planet link. now everybody duck :D

Okay here is the replay.

OH, and a special thanks to gokents for clarifying a rule with me, even though I have only raced for this series once in the past, I had alreayd become accustomed to something that had changed with gokents 'taking over' :embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed:

since i am a complete moose kak stacking dumbass

I'm going to have to remember that... excellent verbage. :) You got me laughing.

Some nice times this week. Much like link, I got far enough into this one to see just how much was left for the getting. I didn't even expect 3rd on the podium.

Since I started playing this game, I've hated this track (reverse specifically) and I've loved the RGT. I have a lot more respect for this track now, but I can't say I love it.

It was a fun week for sure. Congrats to everyone that stuck it out and especially ODP for landing a smoking run without spending much time in front of the ps2.

Missing and Max, it was going to be a looong time before I managed to get around the track that fast. Great job.

Yeah fellas...

Max, sorry dude, that really sucks for you... a win down the drain just because you didn't read the deadline. :(
There's nothing you can do, oh well...

Link, glad to see you got on top of it before it was too late...

Danoff, what's up? Not even sectors for us.

Everyone, good race, glad most of us had fun.

As for the deadline... remember everyone.

The first second of tuesday is actually the end of monday night... go through monday's day time, get to the end of monday night at 11:59.59, that is the last second of monday.

12:00 am is tuesday.

All times are due each week before tuesday.

Also, all times are due exactly 1 hour earlier than they were when boom ran the series...

Boom was on mtn. time, I am on central time. 1 hour earlier...

So the deadline means all times must be in before tuesday begins.

Thanks for working with me on this, and a big thanks to everyone for including those divisions... :D

Thanks agian, I had fun with this weeks race... catch you all next week.

Sorry you missed it Max E.:) I was sort of expecting you and Missing Link to battle for the top RGT. I knew you were both pretty close timewise....man that would have been interesting.

Interesting sector times....I could keep up with the RGT in the fitst sector....after that, it just walks away. I could run the 20.7 T1....but never could break 48.0's in T2.

My Race sector times were: 21.178...48.284...1:00.807....1:16.042

If I had the skills....the car was capable of a mid 1:15....but I ran out of skill at the 1:16 mark.

Boy.....I'm going the stink at this next race....Rally just ain't my strong suit.:irked: :D

Oliver DePlace is strong there in number 2 spot....I'm learning about the new (new to me) talent here at the Planet. A Danoff is another talent.;) 👍

Danoff, what's up? Not even sectors for us.

It's pretty much the same as the sectors I posted in the week57 race thread. There are some minor differences, but not a whole lot.

Just add a coule pf 7.xxx's on the end.

I'll post the sector times this evening when I get home since you're interested.

Edit:
Danoff is another talent

Thanks man. Sometimes it doesn't feel like it when you're surrounded by so many fast bastids. :)

Hello!

First, congratulations to everyone.

Second, nice race, had fun.

Third, my replay:

:D

Out of 14 RGT's in the race.....I'm happy that 10 were behind my Lotus 350.....:D

LOTUS ESPRIT SPORT 350....."The Un-Ruf" 👍 👍 👍

Lotus 350 Specifications:

439 hp @ 7100 rpm
490 tor @ 4600 rpm

weight=1105 kgs.
kgs/hp= 2.517

Stage 3 weight reduction
sport Exhaust
Port & Polish
Engine Balance
Sports computer

One day we'll meet the Ruf on a track that favors us....for a rematch.....a track with less handling bias....where that is, I don't know!:D

Anyway, it was a real hard fought contest in every division.

Of course, I want to congragulate all the "Un-Ruf" drivers who made a gallant stand....in the order of their finish:

1:16.042....Gt3Emperor in my Lotus 350
1:17.044....Lotus 350 in her Tuscan Speed Six
1:17.060....HeinrichII in another Tuscan Speed Six
1:17.841....EvO in the 'not so Ruf' 3400S
1:18.964....NielsG in a Mazda RX-7 RS
1:19.600....RVD Nut in a Nissan 350Z Concept

It took guts to not sell out to the best car in the field. 👍

I think that the nissan Z concept was under represented this week. I know it had the capability to pull some nice times on this track.... No matter, as gt3 pointed out we did have quite a few non-rgt racers.

The deadline: All Times Due before 12:00am cst. Tuesday the 23rd. (Same as 6:00am gmt london. Tuesday the 23rd.)

The word "Tuesday" shouldn't appear, as it give one the impression that the deadline is Tuesday night.
Why not use boom's timezone?
That would make the deadline MONDAY 11:00pm MST.
It's the same thing, only less ambiguous.

I'm so used to a Monday deadline, that it's reflexive.

I'm sorry to hear that Max. :(

Yeah,well done to you! 👍
I noticed it when doing the stats :D

Yeah....the 3400 is a Ruf, but it was not 'The' Ruf we were concerned about dominating the race. Even it is no match for the mighty RGT! ;)

12:00 Midnight could be considered the very last moment of Monday night.....12:01 AM is 60 seconds into Tuesday, so unless somebody could use that split second between the two days, it's not much point in mentioning Tuesday at all. (in my opinion)

12:00 Midnight EST Monday would be easier to understand. (in my opinion) That tells people that when Monday ends....so does the challenge. It's hard to get that confused.

12:00 Midnight EST = 11:00 AM CST =10:00 PM MST=9:00 PM PST

Europeans would be into Tuesday early morning hours

Western Europe (London)= 5:00 AM GMT Tuesday morning

Eastern Europe (Belgium)= 6:00 AM Tuesday morning

But, as you can see, it can get confusing....I usually put some sample time zones up when I put on a challenge so people can easily see what time it is where they are.

:)

yeah, high five to you :D and argh, you just beat me by 0.16 secs:mad: anyways, nice job there Lotus ;)

and congrats to all podium winners, some fast times there :)

Here are the sectors for that lap.

4.609
5.333
3.448
4.679
6.937
5.557
8.873
7.305
6.118
3.277
4.812
7.556
7.121

Fast start, slow finish. As ODP likes to put it, I got conservative.

http://www.worldtimezone.com/

As you will notice, midnight is never mentioned, a time zone link is provided, and london is given as an example.

;)

Sure, I bet est would be easy for you. ;)

Central time just happens to work for me... kind like how mountain time worked for boom. :odd:
jk. ;)
Great work again though... I really liked seeing that lotus up there. Kinda made me wonder about how much downforce the lotus 350 really has... just cause you can't adjust doesn't mean it's not there.

Anyway, later. :D

# - My sectors // danoff's sectors

01 - 4.558 // 4.609
02 - 5.521 // 5.333
03 - 3.834 // 3.448
04 - 4.858 // 4.679
05 - 7.018 // 6.937
06 - 5.212 // 5.557
07 - 8.828 // 8.873
08 - 7.444 // 7.305
09 - 5.804 // 6.118
10 - 3.089 // 3.277
11 - 4.859 // 4.812
12 - 7.200 // 7.556
13 - 6.945 // 7.121

01 - (ML up 0.051) - I carried a little bit more speed down front straight.
02 - (d up 0.188) - Turned at minimum 115 (usually turning @ 120+ mph)
03 - (d up 0.386) - I was horrible through chicane/s-turn, usually able to do it at 87-91 mph, only managed 80!
04 - (d up 0.179) - I lost some speed going through right before T1.
05 - (d up 0.081) - carried less speed through gentle left (obviously since I turned slower).
06 - (ML up 0.345) - busted his ass though hairpin (likely, I had a good turn there).
07 - (ML up 0.045) - carried a little more speed down backstraight.
08 - (d up 0.139) - I scrubbed a little more speed than I would have liked for the right sweeper.
09 - (ML up 0.314) - I did manage to take that crucial left after T2 at 109 mph, I would imagine that explains this large discrepency.
10 - (ML up 0.188) - Simply carried speed well from sector 9.
11 - (d up 0.047) - I probably brake much earlier for the double right, which explains:
12 - (ML up 0.356) - I Maintained a minimum 83 mph for first of two rights. Hit outside anti-apex @ 102 mph, hit second apex of latter right @ 115 mph
13 - (ML up 0.176) - Obviously, I am carrying far more speed to finish line.

Obviously, the per sector comparisons are exactly that, PER sector... the cumulative per sectors is:
01 - ML up 0.051
02 - D up 0.137
03 - D up 0.523
04 - D up 0.702
05 - D up 0.783
06 - D up 0.438
07 - D up 0.393
08 - D up 0.532
09 - D up 0.218
10 - D up 0.030
11 - D up 0.077
12 - ML up 0.279
13 - ML up 0.455

I am open to other opinions here, but from what I saw as "bests" these seem plausable.

Hmmm.... from this data, I can extrapolate that the RGT can actually go UNDER 1:14!!!!! As the "raw data" adds to a lap of 1'14.150 (best sesctors) Of course, that is not happening anytime soon!... and I also factored in that between all of these "fastest" sectors, there had to be a compromise of something in the range of 0.200 (total) where the time lost in sector is made up in the next one. Also, I know from my other "best" lap time (15.243) that another 0.150 alone can come out fo 12 & 13 combined.

Anyways... theres my take on statistical data... tired now... naptime.

 Missing Link......And you understand all that stuff....to much for me!:odd: :)

I know I could have run mid 1:15's based on evaluating better sector times.... getting them all together in one clean lap is a far different story.
_____________________________________
That's a good run Kent.....you deserve some of the press too cause only 4 people broke that 1:16 barrier. That obviously wasn't an easy thing to do.:)
______________________________________
Yeah, I just used EST since that's my timezone....but it doesn't matter where you start, if it's Central time.....then post the major times zones so people don't get confused.

For example, include (based from 12:00 Midnight CST)a few typical timezone equivalents, like GMT, EST, and PST. That makes it easier for everybody to think in terms of what they are more familiar with...and cuts down on confusion.

Of course, I'm always slightly confused:banghead: ...must be all the head banging I have to do trying to stay with the lead pack of 'crazy fast' guys. :D
