Well, first 20 minutes of the night,
16.271
45.646
1'06.910

Nuts, Lotus is half in the bag, and still faster than I.

Edit: End of the night...
16.073
45.229
1'06.521

I've found that this car seems to have a handful of grunt in 4th gear. Which helps pull thorugh teh big 180 just before the back stretch.

Anybody care to divulge when to shift this little car?

I have tried 750 before red, 500 before red, 250 before red, redline, 250 after red, and the full 500 after redline. I can't see anything happening differently :?:?

Try right on red line... seems to be about the best shifting point for this car in arcade form. I remember testing this out for Torc 11, but your best bet to make sure is to ask MiH, I saw him flying around two tracks with this car already ( arcade always of course ):cool:

I have just one thing to ask. Can you people please stop calling it Trail Mountain?! It's Trial Mountain, always has been, and always will be!

i'm only running about a sec off the times and see much room for a faster run tomorrow just to tired after work today

:lol:

Good point t13r, too bad I don't give a hoot. :lol:

Im sure I have done it, but oh well... although Im sure I will not be messing it up anymore.
but still, I know I have made that mistake before, so.. anyway, like it matters. :lol:

Anyway, catch you all around. ;)

well so far ive managed these
T1: 15.9
T2: 45.3
T3: 1:07.0

im gonna catch you der alta :D

Edit: well im happy and also sad. i am 100% sure i can break under 1:06 now having gone a 1:06.2xx and totally messing up the turn right before T3. i slid right into the wall and bounced off and my T3 was a 1:06.2 which is far and away my best T3. so now my goal is to get a clean lap under 1:06 and then i think i will be satisified with this weeks time

Somehow i expected this.The reason for me beign slow at Rome Circuit 2 was basically because i had no time to put in a good lap.I only had time on Sunday to drive a few laps wich resulted in a 1.18
If i had time to find a good setup for my car i would have take 2 sec. off that time with no problem.

I also haven't touched GT3 in a long time,so when i registered here i had had a reason to play it again.My qualifying run was my first go at GT3 since September last year.

And as for Trial Mountain,
I am not blind,i follow the rules stated here and i don't make mistakes(GT 3 only hehe).
The picture i posted is not my own,so don't base your assupmtions on that.
I use the Arcade vesion of the car and the times i posted are from the reversed vesion of Trial Mounain.

That's what this is all about. Find someone that's faster than you, place a target and work for it. I've been chasing Boombexus for nigh on 2 years now. Every inch I gain, he seems to gain 3/4. Although recently, that target has shifted abit, due to his abcense. I'm just glad to see Lotus making an appearance. That's the other person I painted a target on.

And... It's that old saying, "Excuses are like ***holes, everybody has one." If you're as fast as you have been posting, you'll eventually find a way to prove it. I'd suggest finding a sharkport, or getting a card full of replays to someone who does.

See you out there.

so far so good....
i did some runs and managed to decrease the times by a small margin

T1 -> 16.073
T2 -> 45.615

I used to cahnge to 3rd for that, but noticed it was quicker in 4th.

No idea. I'm shifting on the red line. I tried shifting earlier, like in the Skylines, but I don't think that helped.

hi guys, dunno if you remember me, but i got my new PS2 Aqua, so i'll be back here at the weekly races. sry for me absence....

alrite, did one more run, tried my best and managed to pull this off .......... :lol:

T1 ---> 15.943
T2 ---> 45.396
T3 ---> 1:06.305

Only unlocked this track today and it's my first time using this car as well.

T1 - 16.168
T2 - 45.375
T3 - 1.06.798

Easily more to come, but at least it somewhere in the right area. Probably a low 1.06... for me I would imagine. Still highly irratic and undecided about some of the lines. I'll at least try to make a reasonable showing as this is the first challenge I've entered.
Ray.

You'd be amazed how many people can't follow printed instructions... *coughs* live4speed *coughs*

Just making sure - you don't want to put all that effort in and have the time struck off, and neither do we.

T1 - 15.8
T2 - 44.9
T3 - 1'06.0

Took my garaged car to the 1000m to get some info on the change point. My best time was set using 6500 for the 1-2 and 2-3 change, but 6000 (redline) on the 3-4 and upwards changes :confused:

awesome. wicked nice of you to share ur findings.

were u running the razo silvia on stock parts?

Howdy Y'All!!! 👍
:D FINALLY found time to get in some Laps other than at 9:00 PM Monday Nite!!! Best "Clean Save" after an hour:

T-1 = 15.815
T-2 = 44.847
T-3 = 1'05.870

"Saw" a T-2 of 44.6xx but the MOMO "Glitched" for the first time in quite a while & pulled me to the right & "Stopped." (Only the 2nd time I've had this particular "Glitch"). SO I know there's more time to be found. You Division I guys are "Flying" as usual, will try to "Keep-Up" :lol: :lol: :lol:...UB57 :D

Using daan's shiftpoints (thanks mate!):

15.8/45.1/1:06.3

More to be had ;)

yup, it was stock on T5's. There was only about a tenth or 2 in any of the shift methods I used.

The strange thing is, during my lap, I thought that changing at 5500 was good, but at the 1000m it wasn't.

So, I am officially confused. :confused:

I was playing with the Zonda LM the other day and found that it liked being razzed in 1st and 2nd gear, but was less appreciative of it later on. I started shifting at max revs for 1 & 2, nipping into redzone for 3, just shy in 4 and at 500rpm below in 5. This netted me 0.5s on the 0-1000m run and 1s on a lap.

I tried the same this week with a ZZII - totally different car/drive/engine - and the same technique yielded 1.5s on a lap of Rome II.

I shift at 500 over and start shifting by ear after 3rd gear.....when is sounds like it's flat......but overall, the secret to this one doesn't seem to be shifting.

I'm going to see if I can get a few runs in and hopeful catch up with the crowd....the level of competition seems to be outrageous in this one though!:odd: :rolleyes: ;)

hahaha true. i dun think shifting technique is gonna make or break a good run.

after 2 hours,

15.600
44.510
1'05.250

I saw a COUPLE 1'05.09x go by, but we're all tainted by some love taps or some lawn mowin.

but at least i know where all the time can be made up. rumble strips.
