Looks like I'll have to buy it, since I have the Sport 350. Nice to see that we don't have to get all of that power.

edit: Am I glad we didn't run full power; it would've turned into a rally for me. Now it's at drifting for beginners. As I don't have a lot of experience on this track, it will take me some time to get the first corner down.

Hmmm... Apricot Hill isn't among my favorite of tracks, but i'm sure i'll give this a go. Me likes the Lotus.

i will dfinatly give this one a go, looks like fun.
also, it just goes to show racers, your suggestions do turn into races.

Same here. Maybe this week will be the week that I finally find the fast line around the Hill finally.

Hmm... Off I go to buy a car eh? Sure don't own this one.

I'm new and it's not mentioned - can we tune the car?

507 here too with an oil change.

If by tune you mean adjust suspension settings,LSD,gears ETC then yes you can. :)

Well I've just run some installation laps and so far I've got:

T1: 12.957
T2: 26.557
T3: 53.531

After about 10 minutes with stock setting except for tranny and brake balance, (no tranny trick):
T1: 12.257
T2: 25.789
T3: 52.902

okay....well i've been gone for quite some time...hope i'm still listed as one of the members for the challenge....but i'll be giving this challenge a go...happy racing :)

I ran it in 1:1?.054,fast slow?I don't know.

Sorry, but the rules are designed to encourage friendly competition and part of that is not discussing final lap times. :D

As for my laps...
Ran my first lap in this car. No mileage, no testing... I wasn't even sure how this combo would work out. :scared:

Looks like it's gonna be fast, but in a mild tuning sort of way.

52.9 came to me on my first lap of a 2 lap, 3:00am session. :trouble:
However, I haven't managed to run anything since.

Hopefully I will get this thing broken in, then onto the track and after that we might see the times drop down to 52.0 (hopefully).

Until I get some work done on this combo,
later. :D

Edit:
Just ran a lap and right when I got to my waiting setup the first lap was on a sloppy 52.7. :D
52.0 should be more obtainable than I thought.

I may have to post a setup later on once mine is finalized.
However, I want to mention something regarding final drive ratio.
It seems to me that when you purchase a car from the dealer, the first touch of the auto slider changes all of the gear ratios in the same way it does when you have already performed the tranny trick.
What's that leave me to believe?
Is it possible that adjusting your final drive ratio first without touching the auto slider, is the same as doing the tranny trick?

Get back to me on that one if any of you haven't messed with the transmission at all. :D

edit again:
First lap back after my edit from just a moment ago I ran a clean 52.3.
Looks like I better just break the car in (at the moment it's at 509hp) and come back when I have starting hitting my personal time limits. :D

At around 150 miles
My best clean lap for the day if I don't race anymore:
t1- 12.1xx
t2- 25.5xx
t3- 52.364

Oh yeah, I finished breaking in my car, so next time I don't have to save the game. :)

Decided to grab the controller and throw down a nother lap.. ran a first lap of:
T1: '12.386
T2: '25.331
T3: '51.888

This isn't a track that I really like...infact it's my worst track in the game, but I'll try it. Off to the car dealership for me:D

Fogelhund
No idea on what to use for settings, so just some experimentation.

T3 of 52.3 for now.
Hey Fogelhund! Good to see you around. For so much hp and so little downforce, it's a nice handling car right out of the box. Seems to lean really nicely into the undulations. I'm running about 52.7 with just a tweak to the final. BTW, if you haven't already registered for the WRS, you'll need to run the registration race, and PM a time to GoKents. Check the registration thread (third sticky) for details.

I'm down to a 12.0 for the first split but by the second I'm falling behind, can't get below a 25.9, nor 53.0 for T3.

I have stumbled across racing-line and I want to get my name splattered across the board there !!!

I havent really got the time to only spend a week on the races here - my last couple of times are subject to no time to spend hence my low place finish in the table.

So I might not race in the weekly for a bit - I'll always try to make the time but I dont want to submit poor laps due to not really having the time.

Apologies Kent

I should be having some time this week-end, and I hope I have enough time to run a few laps on this one. (That is, when Mrs Flat-out won't be playing Baldur's Gate II).

This Morning's session:

12.064
25.865
52.795.

I like this track quite a bit, as it feels easy to run lap after lap consistently. Had a nice long tussle with the ghost. (Too long, in fact, now I'm behind on RL stuff). :dopey: :dopey: :dopey:

Great combo, Kent. 👍 I love to race at Apricot. It has a nice rhythm in the turns and the Lotus Esprit is a fun ride, I've never tried before. :D

After first session I'm at:

12.301
25.626
52.780

Looks like we gonna have some close racing out there. :D
