Don't you have some other things to do?

Yes .... I gotta go decorate a small bedroom tonight :grumpy:

But I'll be back :sly:

Scratch what I said about going back to Mr. P's Gears, I just took over a second off my overall time (on the second lap of a run too). Here are the Ts:
T1: 0'24.196
T2: 0'52.021

If you're using Mr P's gears, they're set to be a 5-gear setup, 6th is only there because the game requires it.
If you're using all 6 gears, then you should be able to shorten 6th gear to give it "more power".

Yep Eggsactly mate! :D

I never use 6th gear with the mini.

Here's a little tip for you guys ;) .... When you are about to start your fast lap and are heading down towards the last right hand bend on the lap before! .... go to the far rumbles and ride it all the way around in 3rd gear and control the car to gain momentum and stay on the rumble as you go up the hill and the speed over the start line will be about 5-10 kmh faster than a start used by staying fully on the tar :) my average tar speed is about 166kmh at the line .... where as when I use the rumble its been as high as 175kmh!

now you'll see how I'm hitting 23.6 T1's :sly: ... aint I kind? :dopey:

Have fun guys 👍

And I thought the secret was the rumblestrip on the right

hm, I was going to try to break 24 seconds on my own, but now I see the trick. Maybe in my next session I'll give it a shot...

:). I still have alot to gain.

Thumb and concentration can't take more tonight.

New T2: 52.098.

Tomorrow I better try Mr P's gears. I wanna take of a second too. :D

I change my mind, i don't think it will be a close result at the end.
There is so much time to gain just in the last sector.

I saw some 51.1xx and did a way better final time with 51.5xx
Mr.P: respect, i can,t see how you do so fast in t2, and why use a 5 gears set up ???

Small improvement here: 23.951 (thanks Mr P!) / 51.158

&

Mr P,
As always, doing well. :D

I already knew of this trick, but it never crossed my mind with this combo.

Actually, just for refference, many of us should all ready know of this 5 gear tranny.

Remember the Castrol Supra @ Midfield in week 53 (my first week as mod).

Mr P and Lotus did very well and both were using 5 speed transmissions if I am correct.

In fact, I believe I ran a 5 speed that week thanks to the advice of P.

So thanks P
(on the behalf of all racers) ;)

Oh, btw, I eeked out a victory over ( I think) missing link at laguna in week 68 thanks to the 5 speed run.
So there!

Yesterday, I ran about 120 miles and a t2 of 51.7 seconds.
Today, I ran a couple miles and took a break.
That might be my final run. It seems like the more I race,
the worse the times get. There's too little room for error.

Thanks for the little tip Mr. P

With that i did my best lap tonight. But with a 6 gears set up. Please can somebody tell me the advantage of running a 5 gears set up ???

T1: 23.728
T2: 51.180

with i think a realy good finish line time. I have to go back to Mr. P gear set up, see if i can use to it.

Here is my set up if that help someone.

Same as Mr.P except
Camber 1.0 2.5
Toe angle -0.5 0.5
Stabilizers 1 2

good luck with your progression everyone...

Oh well, Sphinx waves goodbye to the only advantage he thought he had over the rest of the pack ;)

24.331/52.834, nothing impressive, I will edit this, once I do better. :)

You don't have to waste time shifting as much. Everytime you shift you're not
accelerating. With a 5-speed setup you can use each gear in more situations. In
conclusion when you shift you lose time.

In some cars this can be used to your advantage.

Woo, I'm still like, dead last! o_O I'm gonna shift to that 5 gear setup, ride that rumble strip and pray I guess.

Now i had Time to Race some Rounds

T1: 0:24,789

T2: 0:53,596

I hope the next 2 Days are not so stressfully than the Last, so i can drive a little bit faster.

A bit of improvement for me, saw the same T2 as my previous best of around 52, but gained about .7 on ther final turn.

I just got 52.481, and am struggling to do any better, so that might be my final run. Not bad for the first race. ^^

Saw some 50.8xx but not able to keep it until the end.

Not able to take more of that mini combo.

Update:

T1--->0:24,785
T2--->0:52,802

So, when i will post my final Time, will there be open a result-Thread ?? (and if Yes - when ???)

This beru guy looks like he could give the big guns in D1 a run for their money. Nice job man 👍.

*turns on PS2*

Now, to break that 0'52.000 line!

:D Yes there will be! 👍 Go Kents usually gets the results up within an hour or two depending on how many last minute submissions there are. Check here to see what last week's looked like:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=46879
You can also check the "Archives" to see ALL the old Results :) ...UB57 :D

also, Kaneda, we send our final times to Gokents and he posts them. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/private.php?do=newpm
Go to that page to send a private message, send it to Gokents and fill the title to say that it's the weekly racing series' submittal time thingy (just make sure he knows what it is).

Omero, get out of Division 3...

Thank for this Information - i thought there will be open a results thread & we post our times till CET+6 - but now i know, that i have to write a pm to GoKent.

There also needs to be a Division 0

I suggest that 2 teams be added to the weeklies, making for 5 divisions overall.

LOL! Then everyone would get a Podium spot! Seriously, some weeks there are barely 4 racers in each division. I think 3 (divisions) is plenty!
