Yes please Ron ! It would be good to see a 19.5 T1 cos apart from the hairpin theres not too much else you can do wrong yet you still have nearly a second on my T1

:sly: :ahem-cough: seen a couple of 19.3's ... but my best save has 19.443 and thats the one I'll be posting in about 1 hours time! .. after me dinner 👍 :)

I am actually thinking about testing out some mpegs with background music to fit each car :D
I cant seem to think of no other music for the 787 more fitting than Richard Wagner's 'O Fortuna' (Excalibur Theme) .. :lol: .. I even had a test and It's still an awesome soundtrack :cool:

Tonight i'll try some more lap, see if i can keep a real good one to the end.

I took music appreciation last semster and finally got to learn about that song.
Ever since I saw excalibur as a little, little kid I have been crazy about that one. :D

Looking forward to seeing the video for that alone. :D

I will try again tonight as I've had a few failed attempts already ... I either get the replay with all music and no car sound or the other way around with only car sound :dopey: It is a great track though ... catch me on IM later and I'll send the audio file 👍

Sorry everyone, I was in bed sick for a couple days. Just getting over it now.

T2 leaderboard is updated.

My 1st session just before I got sick ended with a 20.294 / 37.206.
Looks like everyone has really improved while I was sick. 👍

I can see, that I break to much and don't hit the curbs and turn after the tunnel with that perfection. Amazing driving. 👍

Will work with the breaking tomorrow and the perfection the next couple of years. :D

I'm not in the 787. That'll be obvious when you see my T times :D

Thanks for the video MrP, I was able to see how to properly take the entry into turn one, and how to properly take the hairpin. I've gotten the technique for the first two turns down, but I'm still losing time in the hairpin, although I have improved by about .3 or .4 seconds on average for T1. As for T2, I've managed a clean 36.669. I also found that lots of my understeer problems were solved by turning off TCS (if anyone is using it...).

Hopefully I'll be into the 35s by the end of the race.

I'm done with this now ... my thumbs Red Raw! :crazy:

I ran for about 2 hours then to beat my old save clean :grumpy: and the time I made was not worth the pain on my digit 👎 anyway new save has

19.5/35.9 and thank fluck I dont have to run that thumb breaking mother again :D

Did a better T2 : 35.973, but just gain a little bit at the end.

Maybe some more lap tomorrow just befor going to family cottage for a good week of relaxation.

Pfft, that's nothing. When I was finishing off rally mode, I played for about 4 hours straight. Afterwards, I had an indent in my right thumb for many hours :lol:

While my mom used the PC, I ran a lot more laps, and improved my T2 to 36.536, while breaking into 19.6 for T1s. On a note of little significance, I ran a T1 of 19.999, and soon after had a final lap time that ended in .999 :lol:

This week looks like it will be a close one in the end, I have a feeling many places will be decided by hundredths of a second.
 
I can't seem to gain anymore, and I might just send in my time. Im not sure yet, but I have pulled some massive T2 numbers like 36.2 but keep on losing it back on the last corner. I dislike it so much!! :)
 
I just updated the T2 leaderboard for the last time tonight.

beru is in 1st place because MrP only posted a 35.9xx and I treat the xx as a 99.

I'll update the leaderboard again mid tomorrow most likely.

I've entered the challenge and, In my very rusty state, have managed 20.5 and 37.5 so far in the R390 Car, hoping to get more out of it though! 👍

quick update!


hit 20.3 and 37.2 just now, lap was pretty decent!! Hope to get into the 19s and 36s ! Can someone gimme a replay of just a 19 lap ? Im struggling in the first sector ! :)



EDIT: I'm great thanks Kelly! Summer Hols atm so I have alot of time on my hands ! :)

I havent got any more time to run this either so hopefully I make the time up at the back end of the track and still manage to beat you !!
 
I wasn't too interested in this one when I read the rules on Tuesday, but I decided to give it a shot, just for the hell of it :)

After about 15 minutes,:

20.1
36.9

clean.

EDIT:

Another hour of running and:

20.0
36.7

clean.

The double apex left though the second tunnel is killing me. Any tips, anyone?

Thanks for the replay Mr. P 👍, that's the line I usually try to take through the first two corners, and it's good to see I'm not way out in left field. It always feels sloppy. And I probably wouldn't have thought to drift throught the hairpin at all.
