The Race: Hot Lap (Arcade mode free run)

The Rules:

1. No wall riding or touching.
2. You must have 2 tires on the track at all times.
3. The rumble strips are considered part of the track.
4. No hybrids
5. No cheating of any kind.
6. Save Your Submitted Lap Replay

I'm not that fresh on Tokyo II at the moment, but it's one of favourite tracks so count me in 👍

There is an easy rule : as long as the car is not stock (and this one is fully modded) it can only come from our garage.
BTW, I hope I'll do better than on Grand Valley last week.

I'm not a fast driver and after 6 laps I'm at 32.2 / 1'08.5

As Ev0 says, I think you need to win the Camaro race car in the Amateur American championship. You can't modify a standard Camaro.

I've not got this damn car. If I win it then I'll take part this week, but if not, then i'll give it a miss.

After an hour of I finally ran 1 clean lap.

Splits of the not so glorious clean lap were: 30.403 / 1'05.515

I don't yet have this car. So I did the Amateur American Champ. And won the champ. and won a Subaru - and forgot to save at the end of the last-but-one race.So I've got to do the champ. again!! D'oh!!

This car's understeer is killing me, any setup advice would be greatly appreciated. All I can muster right now is 31s and 1'09s, but the car just refuses to turn when it needs to! I feel like I'm playing Gran Pinball out there!

My settings suck too, but at least it kinda turns.

Off the top of my head (I'm at work):
Springs 15.5 both
Shocks 10 all
Ride height lowest setting available
I haven't touched the camber or toe yet
Sways are 7 both
LSD is 5 all
Downforce is max both
TCS 2 (with auto, maybe 1 with manual)
ASM 0

Take that for what it's worth....just about nothing.

Actually Tuff, that was worth a lot. I was spending too much time fiddling with the toe and camber settings, when all I really needed was more downforce!

30.9xx/1'07.0xx best sector times. Staying off the walls is proving to be exceedingly difficult in this massive car.

LOL, I got on the gas too abruptly in the last corner myself and blew my only clean run. It was my fastest T2 by a tenth or 2, but .6 slower than my fastest lap (dirty). 👎

I'll definitely have to try again, but after finding out how hard it is to run 100% clean, I thought I had better put that run in the bank.

I actually was extremely close on the last bend and in full speed replay mode it looks like a touch, logger shows it as not a touch so I'm happy for now... until you overtake me that is

Lap is clean and saved. It is very easy to have a good run going just to throw it all away on that damn last left corner. Thats it for me for a while. I'll keep an eye on this though.
