Perhaps this time we could conspire to keep the "killer" car choice secret at least until Tuesday. 💡

Nevermind. . .

It's already Tuesday.

Hmm... nice title, Kent. 👍

If anybody got any car suggestions, "killer" car or not, please post or PM. :)

Preferable something easy controllable (yeah, right?!)

Tuned To No Lower Than a 4.0 PWR
(any tuning and any parts may be used as long as the pwr is not exceeded

Just to clarify, as I have never done PWR before. I understand PWR(Power-to-Weight Ratio) And I know where it shows that (car spec).
'No Lower Than' obviously means the PWR is 4.0 or larger (say 5,6,7,8..)
'pwr is not exceeded' - what does this mean (as I say just so I'm clear in my head)? Does it mean Don't go under 4.0!? I ask because it seems that that could be read as 'Don't go over 4.0 either'.

Ta for help in advance!

Don't go under 4.000 is the simple answer.

The PWR really is the weight to power ratio

A high powered road car with sim tyres should by a good one. Great choice GoKents
Already have 2,3 cars on my list. Im definitely in this one. Only sad is Apricot reverse i would have liked the normal track better than this one but still a good pick

Well, let's see what choices are available at this weight.....hopefully it will generate a good mixed field. The 'sim tires' are the real mystery for me....never cared to use them....so, let's see what happens? :dopey:

Maybe the car I'm in is a real dud....or maybe it's me, but after a quick set-up and a handful of laps:

T-1=29.378
T-2=1:05.478
T-3=1:23.504

:dunce: What am I missing?

It's been a while since I've been actually compelled to make time for a WRS race. This one could be fun. If I can find some time to sit down and run some laps I definately will.

EDIT: Was sitting at my desk trying to work but thinking about this race. So I booted up the PS2, bought a car, a few parts and went to the track. Adjusted a few things like brakes and toe and did 4 laps.

27.860
1'01.387
1'18.492

back to work, hopefully I'll get a real session in this week. My gut says this car is the one, though i have 2 others I would like to try that are 4.0+

I think they count as race cars, going back to week 72 or so when we ran road 4WD cars at Trial Mountain and rally cars weren't in.

I might have a look at this one, not sure, I'm enjoying F1 2004 too much for my own good really.

Ok, thanks Eagle, I was pretty sure of that, but I wanted to make sure.

You have all the other mods bought? Suspension, brakes, trans and diff?

If so, I'd suggest a different car.

Smoothness is key. I only ran about 5 laps in each car. Best T1 in the high 26's.

Leaderboard is up. (link in my sig)

@13 - What division are you in?

If I can get some time this week, I think I'm in. :mischievous:
Edit: almost missed the Sim Tires bit... :irked:

Meh, oh well. I'll see what I can do anyway...

Listen guys,
There is a sleeper out there.

I know it for sure and the current t times for it are well under the fastest I have seen posted.

Think 16s and lower. ;)

And of course, on sims, no race cars. :D

Later.

I'm the sleeper. In fact, I think I'll "sleep on it" until someone suggests a half-decent car to drive. ;)

I'm guessing a nice light weight MR car or maybe a 4WD car.
List of all MR and 4WD cars that are eligible:
MR: Opel Speedster, Toyota MR-S, Toyota MR2-Turbo, 3400S, Honda NSX (any), Clio sport V6 24V
4WD: Audi TT, Lancer Evo (any), 3000GT VR4 Turbo, Beetle RSi, Impreza 22B, Toyota Celica GT-Four, Nissan Skyline

Good luck and have fun! 👍

Got a chance to make some adjustments on my car and run about 30 laps tonight.
I'm real happy with my lap even though I can probably shave another 2 tenths at T2 (had a bit of a slide through the long right) and another 2-3 tenths at T3 (could use some tidying up) to gain another .5ish over all.

My goal is to shave about another 3 tenths off of my overall time and I'll probably call it quits for this one. 👍

New splits are: 26.299 / 59.523 / 1'16.147

PS. For the certain person I was talking to about car choices.... mines faster. :P

But still 10 seconds slower than Kent is alluding to. :???
He was referring to the T3 time, not the T1 time. He just left out the 1 minute part. He said to "think 16's and lower" which is right where I am at. ;)

I had a few runs in different cars (2 or 3 laps each), and I chose the one who had :
T1 = 27.806
T2 = 1'01.876
T3 = 1'19.076
and lots of improvement expected.

BTW, P/W ratio is 4.009

T-3=1:23.504
What am I missing?
Power or handling. Change for a more powerful or a 4WD car.

Thanks for the list, tuff. 👍

I haven't got a clue, what to drive this week. Maybe I now have a chance of improving on my 1'23 in the Mazda MX-5.

Phew! I'm glad u said that!:ouch: I thought it sounded like quite a gain on the T1.
OK, just searching the cars. Just spent money and time on one car, then realised it had been a waste when I took out a different standard car, and beat the time. :dunce:

I can think of a couple good cars off the top of my head, but it raises a question:
are the GT-One Road cars included in this mess (assuming the PWR is less than 4.000)?

Not even close.
Toyota GT1 Road Car = 1.428 PWR
Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car = 3.197 PWR
Jaguar XJ220 Road Car = 2.536 PWR
All of the Lotuses and Tommy Kairas are not eligible either.
Basically, your stuck with my MR/AWD list above if you want a decent time.
