Hello everyone. This week at Las Vegas we will be running the entire selection of Spanish cars - which means you can choose your color on your Seat Ibiza.

Just to be different.....you may do anything to the car provided the total amount of cost for work done to car (including cost of car) does not exceed 80,000 credits.

This competition will end midnight CST on Saturday, September 3rd.

Verification is done by the winner posting their full setup at the conclusion of the competition. Failure to do so may result in your win being stripped from you and then being given to a shivering penguin waddling about in the Antarctic.

This should open things up a little bit as far as what people choose to do to their cars, one part could make a huge difference.

That's in my first ten runs, think I bought a pretty good combination of parts, but there's is definately more options to try.

I've only tried one tuning method so far but it got me to 14.675 pretty quickly. Should be able to make high 13's this way but that won't be enough.

Back to the workshop I go.

Colt4g63 WELCOME TO THE BOARD!!! :)

You'll have to excuse my excitement, I am a 4g63 enthusiast as well. I built my 91 TSi AWD from the frame up, rebuilt the head etc. Do you have a C10 or a C50? I was looking into doing the swap myself, but I need to wait till I'm out of college and have the money for it. :sly:

Anyways, I haven't had a chance to run since my last post, I hope to be in the 12's next time I post though.

I actually sold my Original 89 Turbo Mirage with a 4g63 swap in it about 8 months ago. It had a fully built engine, wiseco pistons, eagle rods, FRH intake manifold, Crower springs and titanium retainers, HKS 272 camshafts, SC61 turbo, tubular header ect. I now have this setup in a 91 AWD talon :) Ive also had a original 89 turbo colt with a stock 4g63 in it as well. It dynoed at 427.5WHP on just 24psi with a 50 trim turbo from Forced Performance. I never took it back and dynoed it on 28-30psi. I did transplant that same exact stock engine into a 90 AWD and ran a 7.2 at 100MPH in the 8th mile on 28psi at Ohio Valley Raceway in KY. Which with the power to wieght thats around 475-480whp It seems i always go back to AWD. The traction just isnt there with the colts and Mirages, although if i had the extra $ id have another original turbo 89 colt or Mirage because there so rare!!!
I now own the 91 AWD which should be in the 10s in the 1/4 here very soon. I freshened up the engine and have to put it back in :) And for my daily driver i have a 2005 SRT-4 with AGPs 50 trim turbo kit. The turbo kit is good for 500WHP at 32psi. Although i wont be turning it that high anytime soon because i dont wanna risk my stock engine :) Its at right around 400whp now at 20psi. Ive dynoed it at 370whp on 18psi pump gas with S2 mopar injectors.. it only got to 370 WHP because it ran out of fuel. I recently put RC 750 injectors in it and it should be right around 400whp now on 20psi.
IM ate up with cars and drag racing in general. Germnmuscle showed me this forum and i had to start racing online with u guys!! Seems to be alot of fun. Thats all i do when i play GT4 anyways is get a car, build it and drag it :)
 
Awesome stuff - you should post some pics of your car and the mods you've done to it. That's a lot of boost!
 
I have some pics of my setup when i was building my Silver Mirage. Ive also got some pics of my red Colt when i had it as well. Ill get some shots of the Talon and get em on here. Heres a link to an OLD website one of my friends made. This is very outdated as my mirage was painted and the motor was fully built after these pics...different FMIC ect. But it shows my bike and my red colt and my silver mirage.... Like i said very old stuff here. The bike now has chrome wheels black wind screen and it makes more power now also :) And i no longer own the colt or the mirage lol. But if u wanna check it out theres the link below.

What's your name on 4g61T.com, I imagine your a member, you're not lilevo are you?

That's alot of very nicely built engines, I dream of having an engine built like that one of these days. I also will probably stick with my TSi (we own the exact same car, what color is yours?) because I could never drop AWD. I had a FWD Laser, took the engine and interior out, rebuilt the head, replaced some maintenance things, compressor housing seal on my wee lil 14b, etc etc. Built a tranny from spare broken trannies and basically built the entire car. All it has is exhaust, MBC and a K&N....I'm too broke with school to afford anything more, what do you do for work to be able to afford all that by the way lol ;).

If I was ever going to do a CSM, I would do an AWD swap as well, maybe fwd for a few weeks on some spare tires for ****s and giggles, but then I'd need AWD traction again, I've seen the FWD mirage videos, and I just imagine what it would be like.
 
Worked on cars out of my garage for a long time.... And im Colt4g63 on 4g61T.com I made it my AIM name years ago so i just use it for everything.

Best time so far is a 12.658 :D I dont think this thing will go any faster lol!!
 
Me and Colt4g63 are pretty good friends, he has tought me more things car wise than anyone. He is amazing with anything automotive especially DSMs. I like to think if myself as his apprentice, yeh sounds cheesy but no one else around my area is extremely cool and a great knowledge base. Ive already posted some movies of him racing cars on his bike and all everyone did was say hes a moron for not wearing a helmet. [/offtopic]

I think i might sit this week out, ive tried the Seat Ibiza for 20 minutes already i was just like ugh. GT4 is is becoming kinda old for me so i went and bought Enthusia to switch things up a bit. Ive almost beat it tho and ive owned it for like 24hours lol. I may have a time posted later this week tho.

That 12.658 is proving to be hard to beat for me. All I could muster was a 12.885.

German_Muscle I hope you decideto do more runs - come on who doesn't love a little exciting Spanish car? :dopey:

So, what upgrades is everyone using? I have a stage 1 turbo, sports suspension, a wing, middle flywheel, R3 tires, chip, racing intercooler, one of the mufflers I think....
 
I hit 12.8something, can't remember, but until I'm very confident of my tournement time, I won't be running for this anymore.
 
Id tell my mods but i dont wanna give em away until its over :) I have done a few setups that are goin high 12.60s and 12.70s but only one setup i have has went 12.658 and its only done it like 2 times... I cant get the car to go any faster then the 12.658 with 80k.
 
Ok, initial time is 13.537 but I know I can get more out of it. I might have to change my purchase set-up, but I only had $70 left over - so I figured I'd done alright...

bleh. 13.814, pitiful, yes I know, but I haven't really had time to run thanks to school and the occasional spending most of my time with the tourney :lol:
