I see you've met the swear filter.

The whole reason I want youtube to be used is because of the possibility of integrating youtube videos into the thread and poll for easy viewing. As far as I know we're not able to do the same with google video, but I may be wrong. So for that reason, I'm sorry but I'm going to say no for now. However we might have to change the format of the video posting/polling slightly in the near future. Continue reading...

When I thought this all up I didn't consider how long it might take to load a post with 10 or so videos contained in it. We'll have to have 1 trial run and see how agonizing it is. If it sucks, we'll forget about putting a player window in the post and just go back to the usual collection of links (ie. GTPDC style). In that case google video would be fine.

Id love to enter but i don't have one of those things that connect from your pc to your tv. Ill just have to do the challenges but don't post an results.

Anyway, when we have a car chosen and stuff will we be able to add different tuning parts such as exhaust? or will we have to keep the cars stock?
 
Will we be able to use video cameras to get it to the computer, i dont see why not.

dang, i wish jordan would do the same thing with google video, much better quality imo.

I imagine he would have done it already if he were able to. My guess is that such a plugin isn't available with the forum software yet.

@2bad - yes you may tune your cars to any level you wish, unless limited by the week's theme.

i can see your issue on the making it easy to see the videos. but also youtube loses qual fast and i know that could be a problem here. i spent all my mony on my dfp and i have 4 really really nice cams i can use to get the video on my comp. if we have to use a cap card then im screwd. if not then im ok. but back to video hosting issue at hand.

i do like the idea of having the video on the page read to view. i also like the linking to google video. cuz then we could just make a google video acc and have it host all the comp videos. so its not a problem "tho working out a way to get every ones video needs to be talked about if that idea is going"

about the google video, there could be a problem with uploading, since ive uploaded 7 videos there and they take anywere from 1 day to a month to be verified. Because my latest video took a day, but my first GT4 video took a month at least.

i had my video up with in hours. tho there is alot of bs on that site. if its youtube then sum one well have to host it for me sence im banned "ty NBC"
 
Good idea to make drift comps much like the real D1GP, just makes 2 or 3 corners allows player to give all power in one corner and dont care to have not enough speed for the next. i think this gonna be a great competition with more angle and more smoke than GTPDC.I gonna look foward for the first week competition.
 
ill be up for this. I tried the drift comps once but my computer kept timing out when uploading a 15mb video! With just two or three corners, i can cut that size way down and it wont time out...

Looking forward to it :D
