Time Discussion: T1's and T2's

Good luck, and I'll see you all at the casino's. :D

Oh, cool. A slow car and a track I do know quite well - did quite well in a number of challenges here. This is gonna be a tight one between me and Mr.Holland at least, I predict, as last time we both raced each other live in the (iLink = Arcade) 787B at Monaco and we got a 1'22.415 (Arwin) and 1'22.411 (Mr.Holland) as our best laps! The only possible downside is that the NSX is hard to turn and that might be an advantage for the DS2 drivers. But I tend to be good with slower cars and wheels are often an advantage there, so we'll see what happens. Will the seemingly undefeatable Mr.P be overtaken by the Dutch Duo this time? Watch this space and see the results this time next week ... :mischievous:

Uh oh, well if it's not the car it's the track. :embarrassed: :D

Monaco can be opened in "Area E", it's almost the last area to unlock.
Remember, complete all the races in "Hard" mode to get the area's open faster.

I'm up to C so far...

I guess should've stuck to what I said in the "Why don't you compete in online races" thread. I should only do online racing when at 95+ %.

Eh? That gets you the cars faster. However, if you finish all races in Easy mode you will have all the tracks faster and that's just what's important here now isn't it? :D

If you run the races in Easy mode you should finish Area E in no-time (or say 30 minutes)

I would love to let the Dutch duo show me how to race monaco ;)

Looks like a great combo yet again Boom 👍

I don't think that should be a problem Mr.P ...

I didn't see it was a modded NSX at first. That will mean a bit more work then ...

Well, it had to happen someday, and here it is: Monaco.

Despite my feelings for this track ( it's pure evil! I hate it! ), i will do my best to run it this week.

So boom, when will you post your settings, so i can get to work?:mischievous:

OK I'll start it off:

Best CLEAN T1/T2 so far = 25.135 / 1:07.373

I have been down as low as 24.894 on T1 that I have seen (may have missed some), haven't gotten down to 1:06 on T2 that I know of, but it will happen soon.;) Plenty of room for improvement I'm sure, especially for you pros.

After a half dozen setups here's where I'm at right now:

Springs 10.5/12.5

Height 100/100

Dampers 10/10/10/10

Camber 2.0/2.5

Toe -2.0/0.0

Sways 7/7

Brakes 20/20

LSD 10/25/15

Gears Auto 25

This setup has some oversteer for now, may be too much for some, not enough for others:D
I think for me it's a bit much but will try again tomorrow to see for sure. Later, have fun racing.:P

I couldn't resist running a few more laps before bedtime.

New best clean lap: 24.565 / 1:06.801

Still could do better though as I saw a couple areas to save some more time:mischievous:

I am quite surprised over the car here. . . But, I have been running this car along side the 787 last week on trail mountain. . . Oh the joys the joys :D

Meh!! what crazy hombre requested this track :irked:
J.K nice choice Rob i was expecting Monaco to appear at some point :)
Time to get my NSX outta the garage it think i have one set aside i the dark corner of my massive garage:D

Good luck Peeps ;)

ahh awsome.. but mabe u sould've got an older version of the car for the pic. because aint that in COncept? but ill go for it 4 sure. :P

Ok turned in a few best thus far T2 1'07.5 ..I reckon im gonna struggle with this one ..One reason being that the narrow turns may not suit my driving style ..Two i should have run the beamer at deepforest..I reckon im better with race cars not really ran modded road cars since playing through the game..
on a plus note i did infact have a dusty old NSX type R stashed away in my garage after a wee clean and a oil change the Bhp is at 522 with still 50K to run on it so im guessing it will be around the 540 mark :)
I will run this one for sure tho im curious to see how well /badly i will do :)

I can't wait to get home and run this :D overfilled with joy and know it will end in disgust

Well, as usual I'm crap at setting up cars but on the upside I ran a 1'56.7 on this track ... in a Stock Clio V6 24V on Sim Tires; So I'm used to badly setup cars. So, I tried to get a setup for this car which made me feel sort of at home in it :D and then after a while I saw a 1'05 coming up, so I determined to get me one before I went to bed. Thankfully, I got it just before 12 so I can go to bed in time. And looks like I have the honour to be the first to get it too, so that's nice. All is well and dandy. :D The NSX looks mighty fine in the replay at Monaco too, very pleasant reviewing.

Now it's just wait and see how quickly my time gets beat up, but at least I can hope it's reasonably safe to most of the Amateur league ... (stress 'hope' )

My Ts: T1: 24.5 T2: 1'05.7

I did see a T1 of 24.3 though and that was including a little mistake, so there's a lot to win, no doubt. Though much depends on your settings.

I could share my settings, but I'm not sure that's a good idea - just wait for Mr.Ps instead - mine are really designed for wheel driving ...

Just a matter of time now to see a 1'04 no doubt.

Had a few more in this NSX doofler :irked: new T2 in the 1'06.8 mark a couple of 24.6's @T1
Im running a medium stiff setup but im sure this can be improved on :)
My earlier estimates on the 540 Bhp was wrong mine is holding at 522 and i,ve run a good 100K..

Man for a car that has 500+ Bhp seems like a sunday drive round monaco ..If i was in my Golf (real car) im sure i'd be going faster than this  before yoose say it i know it's just a game  :D :irked:

five laps and I am running T1s of 25.1s now constant, still striving for more, we will see :D

New best Clean lap: 24.813 / 1:06.801

I got down to a 1:06.359 on T2 on a wasted lap so I'm sure a 1:05.xxx will be possible soon with my setup I posted above.

How could anyone not like Monaco? Best track in the game as far as I'm concerned.:D

I have to agree CFM, who couldn't love it. Even if you don't like driving it, just go slow and enjoy the scenery

Best splits so far (clean):

T1: 24.9
T2: 1'07.1

The car's broken in to the tune of 144 Miles / 511 hp, still a ways to go there.

Where the heck am I losing .8 to between T1 and T2?

At what point does a car go from being "broken in" to "over the hill" ... I want to save my game once I get the car to it's max hp, but I don't know how to tell when that is ...

I seem to remember something about the oil light coming on at about 300 Miles? Will the hp go up more if I change the oil and keep running?

Well a little more tuning and a little more racing and a car at 510hp I got a 24.9 and a 1'06.9. . .

A little more time and this should work itself out pretty nicely :D

24.4 /1'06.3 making some progress here ..

Who says they don't like monaco ..? Wizznae me :D I was refering to the "sense of speed" aspect ;)

I save my game when the car hits 200 miles exactly, then you can change the oil every 70 miles or so after that to keep max HP until it gets between 500-600 miles I believe. Once it gets to about 500 miles I just reload and start at 200 miles again.

As far as I know, Max HP for this car is 522.

had my first run w/ this today. came up w/ a best of 25.0/1'05.8 so far. I still havent really setup the car that well yet tho. Gokents and Miata, you guys really lucked out this week huh? hehe ;)

Ummm, yea, we actually did.

The story for the rest of you...

Miata and I are on a team in another racing comp that is based around "normal" cars tuned to a max of 500hp.

The cars are limited to production japanese cars...

Guess what miata and I chose...

That right, the type R we are racint this week.

Only we are using the prize car which is tunable to exactly 499 hp.

However, with a purchased car tuned to the max, you can still use similar settings.

My settings for example are working wonderfully for this race and I just might have a jump on other people due to the fact that I tuned my car last week.

Unfortunatly, this woulnt be an enourmous advantage for me as the settings are the only thing I had on you guys and those settings still could use some work.

However, if you guys want those settings, I would love to give them...

but you gotta ask.

And I suggest this for beginners and amatuers struggling to find that blend of turning and drift control.

Not that I can help that, but my settings cant hurt.

Hit me if you want some settings and good luck racing.
