The Car: Honda S2000 Type-V, fully modded with your choice of tires.

The Track: Cote D' Azur

The Race: Hot Lap. Get your fastest lap time.

The Rules:

1. No wall touching.
2. Rumble strips are considered part of the track.
3. Save your replay.
4. No hybrids
5. No cheating of any kind.

Time Discussion: All "T" times.

The Deadline: September 30th @ 0700 GMT
 
Now this sounds like fun fun fun!!! Too bad you didn't pick the Miata though (Hint Hint).;)
 
Going to be VERY difficult to not touch the walls on this one , as it has walls all the way around, but at least it's not 1000HP we need to try and throw down the track ! :)
 
yummy! fun fun. I think i have one already broken in too. hopefully i can actually put some time into this one this week
 
wooo time to start my first race. and how do i find out which class i got put into.

OK Boys, I'll be the first to post a target on my back. But at least it's a nice one to be chasing! ;) :O

I went shopping and picked up a nice S-2000 V and kept right on shopping to dress it up nicely. :D Hey, what woman isn't good at shopping? :lol:

I drove a quick 20 miles today. My fastest lap so far is 25.330, 1'08.612. I really fubar'd the last two corners, so I think I can shave another second. 👍 My week is pretty tight, but I'm going to squeeze in time so I can stay on the podium. :cheers:
 
Honda's arent my favorite cars, but I cant resist the Monaco track :) I hope to be more of a challenge to the rest of the Pro's this week :irked:

Will have some sector times up by tomorrow.
 
Well its been awhile since i've been into any of the races that BOOM has come up with. *quivers from the almighty BOOM* This weeks race has got me hooked already...... got about a 100 miles spent playing with setups and cursing the damned wall.

Best T's so far:
T1: 25.547
T2: 1'09.160

Hopefully someone will throw up there settings I want to see how I could do with some different setups.

This fools (BOOM) runnin a Honda.... 2000. I'll win, he'll lose. That way me and my dad roll/cruise together when he gets outta jail.

Hi everyone
For some reason, turn one is tough for me to carry any real speed through. I'm going into the turn in 3rd gear and about 62 mph. I seem to get a wall touch exiting the turn on most laps. Any pointers?

BTW: What is the F1 name for turn one at Monaco in real life? C'mon trivia fans, its driving me crazy.

Best lap so far: 25.2 T1, 1.09.0 T2

Here are the settings I'm using at this point. Fairly generic really.

There was one part where me and the wall became one. I didn't slam into it, but it's too close to say its a clean lap. But...

T1: 24.854
T2: 1'08.222

This is sick. I just got a new game, and I like, but now I'm back to this.
 
Well I thought I would show up with way slow times, but it seems my testing session managed to stay on the current pace.

After testing with no real final set up determined, I managed to get into the low 1.07 area, I think 1.06's too.

Not sure exactly, but no work tomorrow + no school = lots of gt time.

Hence, I will have some more precise times for you guys later on.

Im also looking for setting suggestions.

Mine seem to be working out well at the moment, although the heavy lsd and the tight rear end are making for some nasty oversteer at times.

We'll see how it comes along with that, but for the mean time... bye!

Shock Rebound: 8/8
Camber: 2.0/1.0
Toe: 0.5/0.0
Stabilizers: 6/6

Brake Balance: 18/16

LSD: All at 5
Gear: 24 with a 4.050 Final

ASM: 0
TCS: 3

If you use these settings let me know how they work for ya.

Edit: I got these with the settings.
T1:24.839
T2: 1'07.164
 
first session yields me 25.0/1'06.5 :trouble:

hope i can work that T1 down :mad:

::edit:: 25.1/10'6.6, but a time about .300 faster than my last one
 
1'06.5 :irked:

I done 60k on this yesterday and got down to a 1'08.6
that will come down when the car is worn in a bit more though ;)

I like this car! :D

i agree!! Feels like this car was made for this track, get your braking and throttle control down and she'll do whatever you want. gearing comes into play heavily on this one too, i think ive stumbled upon a good one to fit my setup pretty well
 
Just got a clean lap few minutes ago. But first I would like to vent my frustration out on this pos car!!!! I can't believe I had to buy a Honda for this weekly race series :( I am really not pleased with the handling yet, maybe I never will be.. dunno.

T1: 25.1xx
T2: 1'08.0xx

I was getting 1,10 and 1,11 untill I tried your setup and i,m now getting 1,08 👍

you should try them GT4 ;)

hmm im curious now, might give them a try as my settings dont feel quite right yet. Im fighting the car way too much to get the 1'08
 
well ive been using fumes setup from gt tuners vault since i really like them. but i suppose i can give yours a whirl.
 
VG30DETT to me your settings feel a little stiff. not trying to put you down they just dont work for me. you should try these

rebound 4/7
camber 2.1/1

auto setting 24

ASM 3 (this is just me since i have a hard time with 0)

and again these arent mine and im not taking credit for them.
 
Before practice today, I added a few scratches to the bumpers on my S2000. :D In 30 more miles I knocked a full second off my fast lap, but only 2/10 ths off my T2. 1'08.422:)

I think that I can shave another second off this time with a more laps, so I shouldn't be too far behind some of you guys. 👍
