We had a good week this week, even though Sough as usual blitzed us all...

The times were nice and close as usual, with some good all-round racing (even though we're all useless bastards... :p). Clint and myself were separated by less than 100th of a second, so there's a nice tussle for that competition going on...

In the usual name - time - best lap order, here are the results.

Damn if I hadnt screwed up with the AI I might have been ahead of Bollocks. But in another way I really dont care... Im so happy now that SSR5 is over with :)

Good efforts everyone, close competition for the podium spots.

btw, still(unfortunetely) using 100% digital ds1 as you can see in the replay.

Ah sweet, thx for putting up the replay Sough :) This is going to force me to order an Xport finally :) And I will, probably right now!

Edit: Alright, now I should receive it in about 7 days... and in the meanwhile I have to figure out how to convert the .sps to .xps

Conversion is the easy part,however the replay will only run until the first turn and the car will crash.The 2 formats (PAL) (NTSC) use different frame rates.The only options you have are to chip you PS2 or make a MPEG.

Garage saves can be converted with some minor errors.I do have a converted PAL save that is shows Kilometers instead of MPH.
 
Hmmmm, why don't you register, Iforce? Show us all how it's done. :p

Yea Ive been reading about it wherever I could on GTP, but I have the NTSC Xport, so Im gonna have no problems viewing Sough's replay. I know there is a program that changes something in the file header so that it can be converted from NTSC to PAL or vice versa, but Im not sure if its just for game saves like you say IForce, or if it would also work for the replays. I also have a Gameshark which is supposed to be able to play DVD's from different regions, hence PAL and NTSC... just wondering if anything could be done with that. Although I really doubt it. Thx for the reply IForce.

I just realized I posted my race and not the lap. I guess I'll leave it up too, I'll post the hotlap later today.

Hey Bollocks, looks like we both made the podium in the weekly race series(amatuer class). Barely nipped ya at the line, that zonda was hell at cote.
 
Holy ****, you two are in the amatuer class?? Jeez, I thought Sough at least would be up there in Pro at least. :eek:

not wrong there mate, Monaco is a fave track of mine, same for the Zonda, just not the Arcade car;)

Did enjoy it though, but damn aint MR.P a fast SOB (and always has been from what Ive seen)
 
So how the hell do you get so fast? What time'd you run at Cote in the Zonda, Mr P?

I try hard ! and my thumbs are proof of this ;) .......................... my best clean was 1.23.937

unclean was 1.23.511:(

Arco , Flinx etc..... would have been gunning for a high 1.22 - low 1.23 ( the real racers :cool: )

stick JMR and BigP in there as well
 
1'23 in a Zonda? That's pretty good. At least 4 secs faster than I could probably manage. I hope that's all, I've never given Cote a go in the Zonda!!

I believe I found the key to doing well at OLR: gotta be fast right away, know how to setup a car (freaky physics as well), and do it for 25 hours a day, 8 days a week
 
I'd probably run like a 1'33!!
