Weekly Race Week 5: SSR5 WET.

Im not using any ASM tho.. Maybe with 1 in ASM the hairpin can be cleared in second gear. I try to avoid the 2nd gear cuz it makes the car slide too much on the exit.
 
OK, I'm done with this track. My thumbs are numb and it feels like my finger nails are gonna come off... I got a pretty good time, but Im still ultra pissed cuz there was still more speed available... But I cant take it anymore. I hope I can split Sough and Bollocks heh.

Oh, and I didnt just do a fast lap.. I think my race time is pretty fast also. I hope.

Just about to fire the F1 up now !!

And I dont think it'll be just a fast lap for me either - I'll try for the quickest total time I can get as well

but having said that - I just ran and broke my quickest lap time on lap 3 - then me last two laps were really slow.

Now if I dont improve on that quickest lap I'll be submitting one with the slow last 2 laps - but I'll try tho

a question - can sum1 define "wall-riding" - thanks
 
Wall riding: when you deliberatly run into the wall without slowing down (braking) for the corner to get an advantage eg at R5 wet first corner through the tunnel, at the hairpin corner as well

been away for the last couple of days guys, had a bucks night for a mate of mine
One word can be said about the stripper we had "flexible" ;) :D
 
times have been submitted after playing with the setup tonight ran a new fastest lap in the race :)

I had a race with a faster lap than what I'm submitting but I just felt wrong using a slower race. Maybe this week Bollocks will nip me in the fastest lap but it should be close.
 
flexible huh.

i think those are the best ones, as long as they got a decent rack.
you never know what new trick they can do :)

Oh crap, R11 next...

I wish it was the R11 from GT1, I used to love that track. The new track has those two tight hairpins which i fuken hate. The other track had a cool right/left then left/right. If you went too fast in, you would smash the wall. If you try going to fast out, you smash the wall. Basically you smash the wall all the time, except if you go super slow, or u are just lucky enough to get the sequence right. That was fun :D

But no.... They had to put those friggin hairpins.. :banghead:

well - one my first few attempts this morning I made my quickest lap then failed ALL day to better that firast quickest lap - I ran a few quicker overall races but Im submitting the one with the fastest lap time in it - It wud be silly not to as thats what the results are judged by !!!!

btw I was just checking the wall riding - Its fairly obvious that smashing into the wall to avoid braking isnt the way to go about things !!!

Its just that in my quickest lap race I did brush the wall a couple of times - but I spose it only slowed me down if anything so thats OK I reckon (well not for me total time but as far as the race goes)

Good work with the Laydeee Bollocks - I trust fun was had by all !!! ;) ;)

Still hurts if i press on the finger nail.. Man it was painful last night. I think i slightly brushed the wall once, but im not sure if its on my fastest lap, and then again, im no sure if i did it at all in my fastest race. I just know I did it sumwhere. I saved a whole bunch of replays in case I didnt do anymore fast race/lap times. So now Im not sure where I did it. But im sure its not against the rules.

I still remember in Monaco once, Schumacher slightly hit the barriers at the curve before the entrance to the tunnel. He went on to take pole position :)
 
Perhaps Storm's race will beat you James but you'll place higher then he might reconsider the rules. :rolleyes:
 
I dont care what the rules are about standings anymore. Its not like we get any points for our positions. So I'm gonna keep gunning for the quickest race time possible. And when the results come up, Im gonna compare myself by race time first, and then i'll check the quickest lap times. Doesnt matter if I dont place on the podium, as long as i know im fast throughout the race.
 
Fun was had by all, on one occasion she came up to me (I was leaning up against the wall) and she placed her right leg up past my head! like i said "flexible"

I hope just to do well and to beat anyone but especially Dad er Sandstorm ha ha ha :lol:
