Week 6 this week, folks. Get in early, or you'll get a bad time, like mine last week!

A note to racers: I am actually considering your thoughts regarding the racing format, but the single lap format seems to turn in more competitive times than the whole-race format. Perhaps, later in the series, once we all start running consistent times, I will consider switching the format. :)

THE RACE: SSR11. Where if you stuff up one corner, it will affect the next four.

THE RULES:

1. No hybrids
2. No wall riding
3. No shortcuts
4. No cheating
5. Save your replay
6. If possible, upload your replay onto the forums
7. A photo of your time is not required, but can be added if you like.
8. Please, NTCSers, don't use any of the 900hp + monsters
9. Running wide is allowed, but obviously it will slow your time.
10. The rumble strip is considered part of the track.
11. Have fun.
(If you think any more rules should be added here, PM me.)

THE DEADLINE: The dealine for your time to be in is Sunday, midnight, your time (meaning that you can race til 11:59 your local time then give me your time).

Testing will be held on the Free Run version of the course, with the actual race being held in the Hard Single Race mode. You can run the race as many times as you like to get the best time possible.

Testing officially starts now, and will finish on Friday, with racing time being all weekend.

You can discuss all of your intermediate times, but not you're whole lap. You can give generalisations, ie "I got down below 1'20", but not specific lap times.

Go have some good fun! :D

He - its a shame youre right there !!

The results are gonna widen up a bit with this race. Will be nice to see who places where.. except for Sough who we can count on to set another blistering pace :)

arghh no !! Ive only had tonight to practice then I gotta go till friday with no runs :( Off to glasgow with work

Just for a laugh heres me best time after about 5 laps

1.26 ish

Im not laughing... I dont know whats a good lap time for SSR11.

GT3Times shows a 1:20.5 or close to that. IForceV8 is there also in third place with a 1:21.5

i guess we'll be gunning for that 1:21.5
Good Luck all

In the low 1:24's
Sort of wondering how the hell they got to 1:20.5 ....
Guess there is still plenty of room for improvement.

How about the two result format we are talking about in the WEEK 5 RESULTS thread?? It wouldnt change anything to the competitive times, as the fastest lap times would count for one result, and the quickest race for another. Everyone should be happy then. And I dont think it will change anything to the competition.. maybe it will make things more interesting? Only thing is, its sort of double the work for you SS, to tabulate all the results. I guess its your call.

I'm not really feeling motivated for this. I might come back by the time we get to gran valley, maybe later.

Yeah I know what you mean. When I joined I was trying to improve almost everyday my lap time. Now Im like.. I'll give it go later.

You aint the only one wondering how they did it   , in the 23's after about half an hour

I'm gonna be getting my arse kicked in this one I guess. Any bets on how bad I lose?

OA

Check now. I don't wanta lose you!

Well my not participating for a race or two was mostly due to being a bit burned out on F1's. I've been on a binge lately trying to get fast hotlaps, plus this series and it can get tiring. But thanks for change in rules though it is a big improvement imo. Makes it more tempting to get in runs.

good would hate to lose ya (though it would bump me up the order)

Well you dont HAVE to be competitive every week ;) If your not feeling up to it, do a couple runs, pick out your best time and submit. I know I wont be able to always put all my efforts into this. Plus it would be nice to keep the number of racers atleast constant.. altho it would be better if more ppl would join in. So good too know your not quitting on us :)

Alright then I'll put together a run, won't obsess over it but I'll find some time.

btw best lap time here for me is just barely sub 1:23

wont have the time till the end of the weekend for this 'un guys, got a wedding to go to (best man and all) but will definatley get a time in
cheers guys

Bah. I hate weddings.

We need more competitors.

good luck Bollocks - I start PROPERLY running this course tomorrow - sorry for my "non-attendance" during the week !!!!

now what are these new rule thingies ppl have been on about ???
I'll jus check shall I !!!

Im just curious to know what kinda pace you guys are at now?
I havent done anything since those initial 10-15 laps from monday or tuesday. So still low 1:24 here.

I finally figured out the SSR11. Im running high 1:22's now. Man there are so many curves that can slow u down by like 1 second if u go off-line. Get the right line and u start lowering the time like crazy. Im starting to see how IForceV8 did the 1:21.5 ... but no more time left for that :(

Anyhow goodluck to everyone

dang yall are good I'm on my 5th lap with only 1:22:786...I am currently 1.6 seconds ahead of that....brb OK 1:21.174..I'll get better on my 7th lap though I'll brb

Holy ****, 1:21.174 !!
Thats really fast. I could prolly get sumtin like that if I start ridding the walls... Damn man, thats fast!

Thanks I gave up on get under 1:21 on lap 11 so thats my best time and I didn't ride the wall...have yall already gone to Midfield? and if you have what were yer times? I luv that course!

Yea we done Midfield two weeks ago. I remember getting a fastest lap of 50.511, and Bullocks had like a 50.3 If you check out the Week 4 results, you should see what most of us did.. i think.
