Big week this week, with the change of format and all. Remember, total time counts towards your result now, with best lap being a one-off stat - skill over a lap sort of thing.

THE RACE: Deep Forest.

THE RULES:

1. No hybrids
2. No wall riding
3. No shortcuts
4. No cheating
5. Save your replay
6. If possible, upload your replay onto the forums
7. A photo of your time is not required, but can be added if you like.
8. Please, NTCSers, don't use any of the 900hp + monsters
9. Running wide is allowed, but obviously it will slow your time.
10. The rumble strip is considered part of the track.
11. Have fun.
(If you think any more rules should be added here, PM me.)

THE DEADLINE: The dealine for your time to be in is Sunday, midnight, your time (meaning that you can race til 11:59 your local time then give me your time).

Testing will be held on the Free Run version of the course, with the actual race being held in the Hard Single Race mode. You can run the race as many times as you like to get the best time possible.

Testing officially starts now, and will finish on Friday, with racing time being all weekend.

You can discuss all of your intermediate times, but not you're whole lap. You can give generalisations, ie "I got down below 1'20", but not specific lap times.

Go have some good fun! :D

Hey Sandstorm, you updated to Week 7, but you still have Week 5 Results. Done on purpose? cuz of pending results?

Thx alot Bollocks. Unfortunately im not much of a drinker, and the day turned out to be complete fuken crap. yawn. oh well, DEEP FOREST, woo.....

I've hit sub 50 before but I'm not very consistent here. Pretty busy too, as long as I average below 51 I'll be happy.

Make sure you have a loose car, there are many ways of getting there, but get it there somehow in your experimenting.

Nope - Internet stuffed up while I was updating.

I'll do it now.

Holy crap. From what I've seen, I'm in with a good chance of winning - I hit a low 50 today!

Excellent SS :)

Its gonna be another close race. This is getting better by the weekend :)

so you dont wanna here that ive broke the 50 second barrier then?

thats allright then 'cos i havent
...yet ;)

I didnt start yet :( Real life is being a pain in the ass right now. Problem here, problem there. Deep Forest is still my favourite track, so Im hoping I can get a good race when it counts.

Well finally gave it a go. In the 50's right now... barely. Im still not happy with my settings... I got a best T1 of 16.896 up to now. Usually averaging 17.2. How do the sector times compare with you guys?

ok - T1 18.3 !!and thats 1.2 sec quicker than my fastest so far !! balls !!

huh yeah same here T13R

I guess just keep at it BigJames. Out of all the settings I tried up to now, my Seattle settings are the ones that work best for me and gave me a 50 second lap time twice up to now.

Looks like I need to start testing before I get left in the dust. I still haven't found the time to get in a test run... I'll try to find the time later tonight.

Ok, T1 has dropped abit, and I saw a T2 of 35.808
And what I said about my settings earlier is complete crap. I started off with the Seattle settings, but now its so different and quicker :)

Thats what i started with as well (Seattle settings) but they have changed now so much there is nothing left of those settings

T1 average 17.1 T2 average 36.0

Have improved my total lap time by 4/10ths to a low 50, still looking for that 49...

Oh you ****ing ****head, don't ever EVER do that to me again.

But on a better note, I dropped my best time by about .150 today to BELOW 51.3.

Aimin' for the 49 now, can't seem to get it.

ha!! Yeah, I cud've put Bollocks but I'd get a "what" from you !!!
balls is good enough !

Hey Im just curious Bollocks... with that T2 of 36 seconds, are u managing low 50's ?? When I got the 35.808, I ended up doing my fastest lap, but its still not in the low 50's.... I tend to screw up the curve right after T2 (after the tunnel) cuz I look at how fast my T2 is and forget to brake :banghead:

Bollocks = Clint?

yep that would be me and yes with that 36.0 T2 the slight bend after it i aint screwing up
am taking the following left hander at around 250-260kmh in 5th gear (when i get it right)

@Sandstorm & BigJames: yes i do have MSN

Hmm gonna have to switch that in mph. Man its so annoying, all the cars here are Km/H, but we get GT3 in mph.... And you guys have mph, and get GT3 in Km/H. I really hope PD gets it right for GT4. Its just a simple equation they need to add in the code with TWO numbers. One is a variable, and the other is a friggin constant!!

Ok thats 155 to 162 mph. I see where my lap time keeps getting broken down... I might exit the corner at 154 mph, but never more than that. (They should have put that T2 in the middle of the straight before the third tunnel :banghead: )
