Weird glitch, maybe?

So I'm in a Japanese lobby right now. It's 500pp at CapeRing Periphery. Problem is, everytime I join the track, the game refuses to give me control of the car. Like, it'll just drive around under AI control until I get off the track. Is this a glitch, or maybe some weird lag-compensation thing?


Edit: I do have a first hand perspective of the AI driving right now though. I don't get how PD could program such terrible AI.

Happened to me once in an online lobby. Left then rejoined, problem went away.

^ Exactly that experience with me, too. It was fine after rejoining.
