Weird Online Problem

I have noticed this many times IDK if its from the recent patches.

When I am in a room I will notice someone immobile. When I go up the person and bump him the car won't move or roll.

I have gotten the Tank Car or X1 and smash the car very hard but the immobile car moves and snaps back.

It is stuck there. Idk if maybe the person has lagged or something.

Hope I have explained it clear enough.

has this happened to you?
 
Oh, yes. I remember this. It has happensed to me in two rooms. And both times it was the host! It has to be some sort of glitch.
 
I only host.

The people stuck on the track after the race has started are staring at a black screen with the GT5 logo in the bottom right corner of the screen. Most of the other racers just sat through a black screen for a while, but the race for them has started.

This was happening a lot after the last update, but not so much lately although I did have one guy stuck in one race tonight.

There is no hope for them to stay in that room. They should either pull their network cable out or restart GT5.

For a while the black screens were so common, I was telling my room to leave the room ASAP if they had the GT5 logo in their black screen. That releases the rest of the room from the black screens.

As a host it has only happened to me a couple of times right after the update – it was very frustrating.
 
Yup, it's happened both times in cop rooms. Once, the frozen guy was a host. The other time wasn't. IDK. Weird, right?
 
I have encountered this once in a cop server. Some guy in a black Aventador parallel parked his car on the Mulsanne Straight at La Sarthe, a little after the big turn to the braking zone. You hit him, you'd crash but he'd zip back to the same spot.

Also, another glitch I've encountered is when cars might have been AFK for a very long time, you can drive through them. They are not transparent so it obviously can't be the ghost glitch. GT5 Y U SO WEIRD?
 
This has happend in my lounge before. Two of my friends couldn't see or hear each other. I later found out it was my internet.

If you're stuck in a black screen with the GT5 logo all you need to do is sign out of the playstation network. Press the PS button on the controller and then sign out in the XMB. Once you're signed out it will put you back to GT5 Home. Sign back in and then re-join the lobby.

Huh, I'll have to try that. Better than quitting GT5, and then going back in. 👍

There is a glitch in which physics between two cars get messed up. Essentially, one of the cars becomes an 'immovable object' to the other car, and this other car can get pushed around and struck without effect on the striker (no slow down, no crash). It is sometimes very fun, as you can use a very fast car to push a small, slower car, like making a Fiat 500 accelerate and reach the same top speed as an X1.

Sometimes it freezes the entire PS3 so you can only do "eject disc" "power down" or turn off your router.

That's what you call a poorly maintained console lol. That shouldn't be happening!

If you're not froze I posted the least evasive method for escaping the black screen. Powering down is a last resort type of thing. I haven't heard of anyone lately that has been freezing though. Last December was a different story during the month of black screens.

If you often have connection problems with GT5 should you start with troubleshooting your connection.

Your disc could also have a scratch on it you can't see. You can rent another disk to try or borrow one from a friend to see if that fixes your issue.

You can also always back up all your game save data just as a safety precaution and boot into safe mode and do a "Restore File System". After that update your ps3 with the latest update. This fixed a weird problem for me.
 
It means they are just sitting there. They blue-d up but havent pressed the button to start running around the track. Happened to me at TGTT I would hit this guy and he wouldn't move but it would send my car flying. Was quite fun for awhile :p
