Yep. I agree. Very good thinking indeed.

Of course I can't speak for anyone else, but I won't be offended or feel "put out". I'm slower, and that's reality. If it happens I run a race that's not a fav, so be it. I'll make it my favorite. TV screen, a wheel and 2 pedals. It's all the same after all.

SF's comment about minimizing lap time deficiencies is very observant, and quite close to the mark.

I think we will have some time to do some testing of each race before the actual event commences, so at that time, we can find out who's doing what race, the best. I would think that we will all run multiple races in testing anyway, just so us slower guys know what to shoot for.

So wait and see, we shall.

Though long the wait, it is not.

Dammit Vexd! Now you got me doing it.

From seeing the pool in the long course session, i saw 3 of the suposedly choosen combo.

Maybe one of these 3 will be the choosen one. I will try out alittle in these 3 at least. :)

Audi A4 Touring Car @ Nürburgring (GTPlay) - 3 votes
BMW M3 @ Nürburgring (GTX) - 2 votes
Pescarolo Playstation C60 @ Le Sarthe I (GTIRN) - 2 votes

The one with the A4 touring car is the one i will most play as it seems it was the choosen one.

This all testing is just to be more prepared tho.

I´ve been testing on this combo for 1 hour and i´ve come up with 5'42.5xx. I can surely get ingo the 40´s or the 39, im looking for a 5'38 now.

That's insane Veil. You must dream of the Nurb in your sleep!

I did a little testing of a few races also. All I can say about the Tsukuba wet event, is PLEASE don't let it be the Corvette. That thing is uncontrollable on wet. The Mazda GT Planet has in the running is much easier to control, and the race is ALMOST kinda fun. I did 5 laps and got mid 1'14. Slow, but controlled. Maybe no one will want to do the wet race, and will want to do a wild card instead. But if any of you guys are drift guys, this would be your race!

The real gem is race 10 with the Anemiya Aspardrink JGTC RX-7 at Midfield 1. That's always been my fav track so that doesn't hurt, but the car is a gem also! Did about 10 laps there, and pulled 1'05.5 which isn't too bad, but there's still more time to get.

Finally just for fun, I tried the wildcard race with the Caterham at Infineon stock car course. Mostly cause that's my second fav track. The race is a 2 lapper set up so you race against one other car. It is a 197 pt. race. I raced against a 500 hp Viper. The Fire Blade is set up with 158hp @ 300kg! The AI is horrible in this race. All over the track, and grass and everywhere. If you don't pass it early, and really pull out a lead, it will ram you from behind. I tried for a clean run about 5 different times before getting one @ 2'49.000. Was way ahead of the AI for the win also. Definitely can get faster there if you get by the AI clean. VERY fun car to drive BTW, especially at Sears Point!

Nice work there mate. 👍

If i didn´t like the ring that much, i could surely do the wet race, but this just if someone wouldn´t worry in me choosing it. 👍

Geez. Are we linked somehow? I just started testing these combos out myself last night. Of them all, that combo was my fav. Tested it for about an hour, got 1'05.5 as a best myself. Really enjoyed 1.4.9 combo as well.. the '03 Impreza is one of my favorite cars. Will test the Accent combo shortly as I love Swiss Alps.

@veilsidebr: Smoking lap in the A4!

Hehe thx, altough just a 5'38 or 39 would get me relaxed. :sly: 👍

Have tough work ahead.

From the way things are going in the captains forum, I think the wet race will be dropped in favor of the wild card race. I'll let you guys know as soon as I find out anything.👍 Glad to see you're anxious to get started. By the time the final deadline occurs you'll probably be sick of playing GT for a while.
