Well I Finally Did It!

I decided that I am going to dump my PS3 and go with XBOX 360. Got myself a 4GB XBOX 360 and Forza 4 today and they should arrive in about a week.

Maybe I'll keep both, what do you guys think?

I'm just sick of GT not having enough realism and from what I hear, XBOX has a better online community anyway.

Just make sure you join a league, there are far to many idiots in the public lobbys. There are plenty on here to join so you won't be short of races. I still play GT5 so my advice is keep both, you will only end up missing GT5 if you got rid of it :D my gamertag is hennessey861
 
I think you're going to run out of space very quickly on a 4gb Xbox, especially with Forza requiring you to install 1 disc, every time I put GT5 on I get disappointed with the supposed "Life like" Physics and the lack of customization, but there is a topic for this type of post so I'll shut up no :D
 
I agree with Hennessey and keep both. While I don't play much GT5 I still play other ps3 games.

As for the transition, welcome and you will enjoy yourself. Many great Forza players who are both incredible racers and good people in general. You may have to eventually upgrade your HDD due to updates and DLC. 4gb will leave you with almost no space after the mandatory updates from both LIVE and other games. Have fun and welcome once again!

I have an old PS3 Fat also, with pre-3.55 FW on it, so I am wondering if there's a way I can fix it and sell it off for a lot of dough. I think I'm sitting on a gold mine if I can fix it.

How much is an HDD upgrade, and is it something I can do myself, or would I have to mail it in? What size is the best for the money?

Not sure your location (county) but here in the US you can get a 250gb HD from Best buy for $65 or a 320gb for a bit more. Ebay and Amazon could be cheaper. Yes you can do this yourself.
 
I just used a 16(!) gig I found in my dads basement for extra storage. It's enough for a few games, but you'll need more if your getting more than a few games, plus DLC takes up space, maybe 4-5 games with all DLC will fill it up.
 
You will want to get a bigger HD as soon as possible. That 4GB wont even hold all the content from Forza 4. You should be able to get a 320gb HD for around $100.00.
 
The disk 2 install is 2.8GB alone. The few updates will bring you over 3GB total. So yeah, like the other guys said. Get a bigger HD. 👍
 
Can you use an external and just plug it in? Or is it better/cheaper to just buy an internal? And is there a particular one you need for the 360?

EDIT: Googled it and apparently you can't save DLC onto external, you gotta buy the expensive Microsoft hard drive. Oh well.
 
I was able to transfer all my DLC to a flash drive except for the DLC's that I only downloaded the free car.

All my DLC is on a external usb stick, and so is the Disc 2 content. Had no issues with this.
 
I'll stop by Best Buy and pick up a 16gb flash drive. Thanks for the help.

Hey, just for the record, is there a way I can change that thing that says "Junior Member" to something more interesting/funny?
 
Yes, go to the top right where you see your name, click on My Account, then Edit details. Not sure if there is a post amount required, if not then you can change it there.
 
Welcome to the land of cool cars every month! :dopey: I kept my PS3 too, rarely play it though, one of these days maybe.
