GO BUY ANOTHER 360! Every store has a 30 day no questions asked return policy. You simply go buy another 360 (while your old one is getting repaired), enjoy your games, then return the new 360 when your repaired 360 arrives. Its that easy.

I don't think people would have a lot of money to waste on video games like me. The best way is send back your Xbox 360 to Microsoft (if your warranty is not expired...) or you could find a local video game store to repair it.

It really sucks to see a gamer robbed of his gaming because of extremely shoddy build quality. Hopefully everything turns out okay man, I wish you the best! Call up MS and see if they'll repair it or send you a new one. Hopefully a new one, since repairs don't work out well in the end.

The 360 I had before just got a red ring of death, so say's the person I sold it to. But, it was still under warranty, so it's no biggie, he's just sent it back.

If you have no ethics it's easy...

Costco used to have a great return policy, but because so many were abusing it simply to get free upgrades, or to get free use of equipment a year at a time (not like Duck's case where he had a legitimate reason to return them as each one malfunctioned) they changed it. Yet another example where honest people are punished by the poor behavior of others.

If this is a common practice, it makes one wonder how many of the 10 million XB360's that have sold so far are simply ones that were bought and then returned. Hmmm... for Microsoft's sake, hopefully not that many.

They won't give you a new one. The idiot's on the other end (somewhere in India it seemed) don't understand why giving you one that somebody else already junked is a bad thing. You'll get a launch console as a replacement. They've got warehouses full of them.

Edit: As for buying and returning a new 360...Try to return them the replacement MS gives you.

But mine is still 10 months years old... I think they will give it back to microsoft and give me a new one and I don't think Australia has that kind of system on every store

You better do that soon because when Forza 2 comes out I will be trading in almost all my games. I traded in RSV yesterday. Sure going to miss that game but I just dont play it any more. And now we have C & C 3, Forza 2 demo, new Crackdown content, May 16th Halo 3 beta, then Forza 2 in a couple weeks. So with that said we will be getting rid of GRAW 2 in the near future with Forza 2 coming out.

i was playing MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE and all of a sudden my tv screen went black and 3 red lights started flashing on my 360, i turned it off and then when i turned it back on my game loaded with no problem.

does this mean my 360 is going bad or just a random error ???

i called GAMECRAZY where i bougt it (with the extended warrenty) and they said i need my reciept to replace it, and wouldnt you know i cant find it.

Sorry to hear that bro. Hopefully it was a freak accident. We talked about a few different options on the phone so you always have those if it does completely fail. 👍
1. Trade in for the Elite
2. Go buy another 360 until your broken one gets repaired.

I had this error too and for weeks my Xbox 360 was a decoration item in my room. but recently I found a great new solution in a tech support site. They have step by step information and photos, its really easy and I think it works permanently. Just don't do it if you still have your warranty because it will void it.
