Changing the rear from 4.11 or whatever short ratio it came with down to, say, a 2.56 or so would be ridiculously cheap compared to trying to make enough extra horsepower to get something else up to 200 mph.
Dana 60 ring & pinions are rather cheap... Even if you go to a shop and have it installed, it won't run you more than maybe $700 THESE days. Back then it most likely would've been cheaper still.
i would really hope noone would do such a thing to a genuine gt500, its more overdone than making another fake shelby
and the rims on that ford and the toronado are ghastly
I apologise for Holdenboy.......some Aussie's know a good American muscle car when we see it. For me, that Daytona is soooo sweeeeeeeeet.
I'm also in awe of that beautiful ZR1, my all time favourite Corvette model. Been a fan since the original C4 version!!
If only it was a couple of months ago, we could've had that bought, shipped and landed for $200kAUD!! Now, we'd be looking at closer to 300k!! Damn dollar depreciation.
