Would you like an extension to this very enjoyable race because of the holiday week?

I'd like an extension too.
The longest race I did was 26 laps then I was smashed into the walls.
I had a 49'8xx too but with drafting.
December 2 would be nice,Neil.
 
I voted yes. This is my last week of TAFE so I will run it on Saturday if you extend the deadline.

Had a few turns at this one and pushed the car beyond my modest abilities - blood, sweat and lots of turn later I could not meet the original deadline - so, thank you! 👍

Transmission : Used the tranny trick : Auto : 1 Final : 3.151

Driving Aids : 0/0/2
Brakes : 3/2
LSD : 15/40/30
DF : 75/105

Tyre wear pretty much even front and rear .. though the left tyres wear quickest/the most .. for me , a setup with all-round even tyre wear , results in slower lap times .
With everything so low and tight .. you have to avoid every ripple strip , though doing so is virtually impossible over 77 laps .

After over 500 laps at the HSR .. times submitted 👍

After trying about a dozen different setups .. i'm amazed how a slight change can make such a huge difference to the handling and tyre life ...
 
Just finished a run using Neil's settings except I increased the camber quite a bit. I can't get 16 laps so the only sensible stints were 13 laps yielding 5 pits, 13, 26,39,52, and 65. Knocked alot of time from my first run but I haven't seen another 49.0xx, but had many 49+ laps the fastest was 49.1xx. This race has a great fun-factor, I've run it at least 5 times but I know I won't be in the money with you guys getting 16 laps a stint.Maybe I'll submit my slowest run with the 49.0xx lap and go for fastest lap.....or not.
 
Hey Drew .. unless i'm mistaken {it does happen} .. a 5 stop stint should be faster than a 4 stopper .

Only .2xx of a second between our fastest laps .. the result might be closer than you think {then again .. i came last in the previous race} :)

I was thinking of another setup change and running the race a 7th time .. but it will have to wait .
 
I'm sure it's going to be close for an hour plus race and I'm putting my money on Neil this racs, Del and GTX close behind . Just submitted my times, I'm really going to miss this race. Good Luck Ya'll !!
 
Well, Looks like I'm not gonna be able to make it. RL is very irritating when it pretty much takes away a good race from you:grumpy:. I'll just put my split and best lap since It won't make it anyhow:

T1: 027.377

Best Lap: 0'50.036

Sorry TK, I was able to make it for one race , but I won't be able to do the same here.

Well done DJ and TYRE KING for the podium .. all i can say is that i really spent hours and hours on this race and the result was worth it {thank goodness}

For those that havent tried my setup .. i'd be interested to know {if/when perhaps you get the time} if it makes a difference .
 
Sorry for staying away but I hadn't got any result because I can't finish the race at all.
I've spent the whole Sunday with the Formula Car but I wasn't lucky.
it seems this is something you can't do with the DS2...:guilty:

Does anyone here remember the default setting for the FGT car? I would like to set my car back to it as I absolutly hate the setup I currently have.

If you go into the garage, all of the changeable settings can be re-set to default by hitting either the default button, or by clicking the actual part selection bit (this also set it back to default by........ erm.......default)

And again, the only form of proof I have to offer is an NTSC replay that's too large to attach here. I'd be happy to e-mail it to any NTSCer willing to check it out. Apparently Drew wasn't able to last time, for some reason?
 
Dels proof will appear in the morning .. when i get around to hooking the camera up .. is it ok if i post the screen after the race has finished ? .. it also shows the fastest lap .

Look like i might join the FGT crowd , whenever the next season starts .

Quality of pic is not the issue, nor is image size if you follow my guide.

Drew's PS2 Max Drive won't work in his PS3. Any NTSC driver out there willing to check out my replay just PM me an e-mail address & I'll send it to you.
