We've got a Nissan Performance Zone, why not a GM performance zone?

Seriously, people like BlazinXtreme, Ghost C, Driftster (he's got a couple Caddys), and many others who own GM products might like the idea of a GM only subforum. GM is currently the World's largest automaker, and with all the GM related threads cluttering the Automotive forums it would be nice to have a place to put them all.

Just a thought.

Before anyone says anything officially:

Please note how often... errh... how seldom the Nissan and Mazda subforums are used. The mods have said that it seemed like a good idea at the time with the high number of Nissan and Mazda fanatics on the board then, but now they've died down a bit. There's very little a subforum of a subforum of a main forum can hold that can't be posted in the Cars in General Forum.

Any GM or Honda sub-forum would be the same.

In the thread for a request for a Honda Zone, Jordan(or someone) said that the Mazda/Nissan Zones will likely be gone in the next version of GTP.

Ghost C
That's because Nissan and Mazda suck.

GM 4 LYFE

Actually, niky had it right. A couple years ago, there was a few months' fad for car clubs. Two of the larger clubs were MAZ and the Nissan club, so Jordan made them forums. But also as niky said, they are really rarely used, and will probably dissolve in the next board arrangement.

question is why does it have to be zone?

ive been wondering that since Nissan "zone" came out, sounds lame.
i would have named it Nissan Motorsports Club, or Nismo Club.

only reason zone was used was for it to fit mazkids name.

Duh, why do you think it's the GM Performance Division? GM Performance Recon Squadron Delta would've been a little too obvious.

I like the idea, and trust me I could always always always find new stuff to post. I just don't post half the stuff on these boards because I would take up way to much of the Auto News forum.

Like others said, there were a large amount Nissan and Mazda discussions (as much as GM now imho and larger than Honda) back when there was no sub forums for them. It seems asoon and sub forums were made the disussions died down alot. Maybe many members didnt bother going into sub forums? I dont know.

Forums are just way too difficult to navigate. The Nissan and Mazda subforums are three layers deep into the boards. And given that there's an enorumous number of posts generated daily, anyone going through the New Posts option is unlikely to see new posts in the Nis-Maz subforums... I'm kinda pissed at missing the action there myself, being a former NissanForums long-timer and a current member of several Mazda boards.

Maybe they can just be relegated to sticky status?
