i'm racing the 24h of la sarthe in B-Spec Mode, with a Redbull X1.
The only thing I find worth watching in this boring race are cpu cars "fighting" between themselves.
After about 15 hours, all positions seemed frozen, and the classement was the following:
  1. Redbull X1
  2. Audi R8
  3. Pescarolo Courage C60 Hybrid '05
  4. Oreca Audi R8
  5. Bentley Speed 8
  6. Pescarolo Courage C60-Peugeot '03
  7. Toyota GT-One
  8. Audi R10
  9. Nissan R390 GT1
  10. Mclaren F1 GTR '97
  11. Viper Oreca
  12. Oreca Viper

The only remaining battle was between Pescarolo '03 and Toyota Gt-One, but sadly that came to an end too, and there was nothing left to do but waiting for the checkered flag.

But suddenly something happens, and I find it out only when turning on the TV again: Oreca Audi R8 is 2nd, "Joest" Audi R8 is 3rd, Bentley 4th, and Pescarolo Hybrid 5th. What a thrill! Something big must have happened, I thought, maybe a big accident, an engine failure, a tyre explosion...
...
...
But unfortunatley, none of this happened.
Just the nth bug of this game, that increases the long strip of unrealistic features of this game.

I let you guess what happened...

Either the tyres wore down too much/fuel depleted for the Pescaloro and GT-One with the game not pitting them?

Not a bug at all, Its called racing these things happen in real life as well

Want excitement? Don't use the X1 against cars that have zero chance against it.

How can you even complain about no excitement when you used an X1 in the first place?

And yes, as stated above, this is racing. **** happens.

Hmmm....Bspec + X1 and you complain that it's not "realistic". :boggled:

The only unrealistic bug on track was the X1

This isnt a bug :dunce: the X1's Left Side flux capacitor must have had a maflunction causing the space time field, that allows it to grip to road so much, to weaken. It happens all the time in real life X1's. :dopey:

Hint: Play the game for fun. Dont grind for trophys or money doing things that you think are boring. Just like life it isnt all about how many cars, trophies, or how much money you have. It is all about enjoying the RIDE!!

:gtpflag:

I think every one here missed the point. Lloyd 87 wasn't complaining about his X1 but about the other cars.

They hit a wall and were stuck trying to pit? The endurances are crap in this game, 12 cars on La Sarthe, oh efing joy. All it is is hot laps for 24 hours. Le Mans 24hr's on PS2 was cause you actually had to work to get a lead and hold on to it.

Thank you all for the answers, someone went close, someone didn't, but noone guessed the answer.

To begin with, I want to specify something: the thread's point does not regard the X1. The reason why I've chosen this car is simple: I don't like B-Spec Mode, I don't find it funny at all, neither exciting nor thrilling, maybe only useful for those seasonal events where you earn lots of credits (like B-Spec expert, now closed). And because of this, I preferred to choose a car which could ensure me the victory.
As for A-Spec, I've always choosen "fair cars", usually one of those included in the competitor list, in all races made so far, including endurances. I've already planned to use a stock Peugeot 908 HDI to race the 24hours of le mans and possibly enjoy it.

That said, what happened was that Pescarolo Hybrid started pitting on every lap. EVERY LAP; later it was followed by Audi R8, then the Bentley. The reason is that Physical and Mental Resistance's gauges only fill very little during a driver stint, but that quantity is not sufficient for the driver to complete more than one lap. The result: they go to the pits on every lap. This is definitively a game bug, and does never happen on real races (until one day Kazunori Yamauchi and his employees decide to take part to a 24hours of le mans).

But something worst has happened later; as spunwicked said in the first answer, the Audi R8, for some odd, inexplicable reason, has totally burned the tyres and finished the fuel, spending 10 minutes to complete a lap; then it tries to pit, it enters the pitlane but does not stop the car, exiting from the other side and beginning another trip.
This bug is even more terrible. Crazy...

I fear the word "bug" is being used too loosely around here lately...

This is funny because Kaz and his team of two other drivers competed quite competitively these last few years in the 24 hours of Nurburgring in Germany :sly: Here's a link: https://www.gtplanet.net/kazunori-yamauchi-competes-in-24-hour-nurburgring-race/

Here is another link for when they won first in class last year: https://www.gtplanet.net/kazunori-yamauchi-team-take-class-victory-at-2011-nurburgring-24-hours/

I really don't see the use in complaining about an unrealistic bug when you don't even attempt to run the race realistically in the first place. Seems a bit hypocritical to me.

can someone answer my question ?
how can be a BUG in a game be realistic/unrealistic ?

its a bug something wrong happened something wierd :) , there is bug in what happened its probably pit stop .

Yes maybe the title was wrong, I should have simply written "pit stop bug", please remember I'm writing in a language which doesn't belong to my country.

Anyway, has this happened to someone else here too?
Also notice that the fact that I ran with a X1 doesn't change the story, if I had used a lmp car these bugs (game errors, or whatever you like calling them) would have still happened. Don't focus on the X1 please, because you're missing the point of the thread, I also explained why I chosed it.

At least there was one positive note in all this story: the race remained uncertain till the last lap! In the end, the Oreca Audi came 2nd, followed by a mere Courage Peugeot '03 and a Gt-One.
