Ah yes... the smell of imminent death when crossing a treacherous road way in the cold black heart of winter.:sly:

That is what I use.

My car used to have this lovely perfume smell from the previous owner. That's gone away now, but it still has a bit of a scent; mostly a leather smell which makes sense. I'd spray something nice in there but my dad has an aversion for just about any scent. I may risk hearing his complaints that the car smells once I become the primary driver, but for now it's just that subtle leather smell.

So does anyone know that manual transmission-equiped old car smell? I really have no better way to describe it besides the cars I would find it in. They were mostly late 80s to early 90s and were all manual and japanese iirc. Well I really like that smell but it's hard to come by now. I got in a car that had it a few months ago and it was instant nostalgia.

^I hate that pine smell, brings memories of the crappy sentra my family used to have. You could smell the humidity inside coupled with cig smell from a previous owner and just general wear and you get a smell that could make you shiver in a bad way.

Quite like the black ice scent, most of my friends seem to have it in their cars. My Mazda 6 came with a pine scented one from the dealer and I have to say it smells pretty good.

On the other hand, my parents use Yankee candle air fresheners. Don't really like the smell of them and they barely last a week.

Gotta go with the classic one haha, I currently have their Cotton Candy scented Trees in my big Pontiac... too bad it's not a pink Caddy. :sly:

None, I find them to smell absolutely rancid.

I used one (Glade? I think) because the car smelled like wet dog and death but I honestly preferred the (un)natural smell of the car to the chemical scent of air freshener..

This.

I can't stand the smell that air fresheners give to cars. :sick:

My dad has a really weird obsession with air fresheners. As a result, we have a total of four air fresheners in Bruiser. Sometimes we even have five. His favourite is this;

Which, to be honest, doesn't actually smell too bad. But when you have two or three tied to the seats, and another two in the boot, it gets very overpowering.

Actually I use the Yankee candle black one that hangs from the rearview, smells good and lasts for a while, it sort of reminds me of black ice but without the extra chemical smell :lol:

I used to just always roll down the windows when parking in the garage in lieu of an air freshener, but then I picked up certain hobbies that sometimes left a lingering smell in the car, so I got black ice because I have no creativity whatsoever. But I think for my next car I'll try one of these...
