What are a good set of cars to race with in a series?

I am looking for a set of say 6 different cars that are reasonably matched to start a series with but I don't know where to start.

I was looking for between 400-500pp

Toyota GT86, Scion FR-S, and Subaru BRZ fully tuned
Lotus Elise 111R and Evora are pretty equal

I think coming up with a "theme" for the cars might be a good idea. As the previous guy has put in, those are 3 versions of the same car. Equally, you might consider examples similar to the seasonal events, eg. "british lightweight" cars. Then its not just a set of 6 random cars that have similar performance? Just an idea.
