I got exams this coming week, I've had encouraging words...I always saw things like that in American movies, didnt know it actually happened ?!?!?! Dont let it get to you mate, theres always the few doubters, just keep your head down and do your best :)

my algebra teacher is a pisser...she gives work every day I have her, and she hates me. At first she said that if you do the work, you can't get lower than a 5(out of 10) on the work, but she's giving me 0s because I don't show the work, I only put down the answers. So now I rarely do anything in the class, and talk to other people in there about how bad the class is, and 1 time she heard me and was all like "I heard you talking about my class, and you best(she's black...that's not the problem)stop or I kick you out of the class. You think other people like hearing that?" me:"Well I was talking to Mark and he was fully agreeing with me, and I'm sure most of the people think the same way." "Well if I hear you talk about it again I'm calling your mom" I didn't say anything for the rest of the class, go home and my mom started asking about it(yea she called my mom anyway...)and I told her and she just said "Mrs Harris is pissed at you." I said, "yea, she must be bored, she needed to talk to you after she told me she wouldn't call."

My other teachers are pretty nice...

I'm sure that all of these teachers have nothing better to do than single out specific students to dislike for no particular reason at all....
Showing work: Teachers can't be sure you actually did the work or just copied it if you don't have the problems worked out on the page. This is called being a good teacher, and this person cares about their job, and your future, even if you are too narrow minded, and short sighted to see this.
Everyone thinks that everything the learn in school is so useless, but it's almost laughable to me looking back. Up through high school (And most colleges) are basically just Primer's for the main event that is to come. In high school, they force you to do things within certain parameters because it teaches basic skills and disciplines needed to survive in the real world.
Want to know why teachers don't like certain students? It's because they see what is in store for them after years of experience, and know who is going to make a contribution to the world, and who is going to be one more car clogging the streets during the daily commute.
When a teacher doesn't hound the lazy, undisciplined, disruptive students, that is the person to worry about, because they do not have your best interest in mind, all that person wants is to get a paycheck, and retire as soon as possible.

No, for what I'm going to do when I get older(mazda mechanic, duh)Algebra is useless....my algebra teacher has a listing of what jobs need what level of math, the number that takes algebra is minimal...

And I don't copy work from other people, I do it in my head, and it takes me too long and to much effort to write down what should be obvieous to the teacher, and to the student(me).

Math is just boring....

I like the other subjects, I just can't stand just doing book work every time, in the other classes we moderate work.

That's all...

This thread makes me appreciate how my tiny school operates.

In order to keep attendance up in our dismal school, the board has enacted a policy where any student with four or less absences the entire school year is allowed to skip his/her exams.

If you are absent, but bring in a doctor's note, then that absence does not count against you.

My life is sweet. Not only will I not be taking my exams, but I will be able to skip four days of school prior to the release date. :)

LOL SS, I wish my school had that. A lot of kids skip school here, some senoirs and junoirs will leave in the middle of a class if there's a sub lol. I was in Design/Crafts last Friday, there was a sub and everyone was in a bad mood cause no one wanted to be at school. This one junoir girl started talking about leaving and how to get around the cop(there's a cop that watches the student entrance to the parking lot, leaving can be tuff but all you have to do is go to the main entrance and walk out or go through a court yard...)then the others decided on a plan, and about 7 of em left while the sub was out of the room. The sub(she was an old geeser) came back in and was like "What happened to everyone? Where's Jared?" all that stuff and no one told...I coulda left but I'd have no where to go, going home involves going on a hyway like road, or a main road with construction, both ways you're walking over a mile...and my bro would be pissed cause he would be sitting there in his car waiting for me...and I had important stuff to do in the next class...

I got finals at the end of this month and i'm not worried, got A's in all classes and finals are easy especially when you have teachers that give you the answers to them if you ask

I say get rid of the public school system. It does more harm than good. This will be difficult because of the teacher's union. They will fight tooth and nail to make sure teachers have jobs. They could get rid of the public school system and find other state jobs for teachers. And quit hiring new teachers. Just make sure the current teachers have some kind of job.

Public schools are good that way guys and girls can see each other and the punks and preps can duke it out, private schools are only good for the rich homo folk

I highly doubt your teachers want you to fail. You failing means they are failing as teachers as well. Well, unless you are just a lazy ****.

Pay attention and you won't need to study. I've never studied more than 10 minutes for a test. Even finals. My test average is probably a high B to mid A in all of my classes.

Guys, I was being saracastic. To begin with I am not failing...I have a 3.7 GPA at one of the most difficult, prestegious, well-thought-of, and challenging schools in the state of Georgia (yes, it's private). Let's put it this way, B-'s at my school beat A's at another school when colleges look at them.

I'm frustrated with school, and ready for summer. Finals are coming up, and they are stressful. If I maintain a 3.7 my parents get pissed. The frustrating thing is that I could easily get As on EVERYTHING, the only thing holding me back is my laziness in combination with lack of interest.

They wanted mye to take Honors English cause I have a high comprehension, I said no cause I didn't want to have more work and my freinds aren't in honors...

My computer mod is a mean fat lady that looks like Elton John. I HATE HER GUTS...and she hates 17 year old. No prob right??

Yes I was caught doing "non school related work(hangin on GTP)"
She kicked me out and never looked at me straight again. Hmmm.... She has NO life other than hating kids,AND she said she didn't like her job! I naturally told her to get another one. Funny scene afterwards!

There you go, Klos, I bet that makes you feel better, doesn't it?
