Opinion thread:

I thought this would be a good opportunity to ask the people of GTPlanet, specifically GT6 because that is where I currently race, where they're going.

But... with the new generation racing simulators nearly upon us being released on PS4, what game will people be playing?

Honestly, I'd take Both Project Cars and GT7. Both games are going to be quite interesting.
Taking GT6 in mind, GT7 will be very difficult to determine whether to buy. It'll be exciting to see what PD do but with GT6 i have contemplated leaving GT

I have DriveClub now. It's good to see what the PS4 is capable of but its not my go to game. The PS3 and GT6 is fired up a lot more than the PS4 and DriveClub.

I voted GT7 and Project Cars. Quite honestly though, the only reason I'm even sticking with GT at this point, is the Academy. If it wasn't for that, I'd be long gone by now. GT has really become a major disappointment for me, although I am still holding on to a sliver of hope that they will someday soon pull their heads out of their asses. When/if the day comes that I finally decide to throw in the towel on the Academy, I will more than likely just switch gears totally and jump back to an Xbox and Forza. I'll wait to see what they do with GT7 first though before making that decision. Although I will check out Project Cars, I really can't see that becoming my main go to game. I like Forza too much as it is my 2nd most favorite game, very closely behind GT.

GT7. But isn't Assetto Corsa coming to PS4? I think I'd get it for PC anyways but those are the only new racing games I'll be playing.

It is only for PC. As of now and as far as I know, it is only a PC based game with no official word of a PS4 release. In my opinion, it doesn't belong in the poll.

I think someone posted a picture of a PS4 dev kit in the AC offices a few months ago but I believe it was Stephano (don't quote me on that) who said they are looking into it but nothing is finalized or even planned at this point. It's nowhere near ready for console as it is that's for sure. The poll is messed up too. AC isn't on PS4, DC isn't really a sim and IMO neither is the GT series at the moment.

I voted for Driveclub. With the Logitech wheel debacle showing no signs of a solution, I might end up ditching sims for more arcade racers I can use with the DS4.

They all are, by definition.

Ironically, so is your post.

@Johnnypenso Totally agree with you about the poll. 👍 And no, nothing has been officially announced or confirmed as far as a PS4 version of AC.....thanks for the confirmation. 👍
This is the picture I was referring to. Apparently it's a PS4 dev kit in the AC studios. Caused quite a stir at the time but no one is talking about it now:

Can't tell if serious. Yes a Lada and a Ferrari are both cars, but they are worlds away in terms of sophistication. You don't seriously think DriveClub and Gran Turismo are in the same conversation when it comes to physics do you?

Yea, I seen that picture also. 👍 With no confirmation officially though, I still say it should be taken off the poll. And to further add to your sim remark, in my opinion, there is no truly proper sim on any console. It is my belief and opinion, a true and proper sim is only going to be on the PC. GT, Forza, etc are simcades at best. I just don't think any console is powerful enough to truly support a full on sim. Again, just my opinion and no way mean to make this come across as fact. :)
