I noticed that my Pagani Zonda R' has Racing: Intermediate Tires as stock. Are these Stickier then Racing: Hard, but less so then Racing: Medium?

OR

Are they Stickier then Sports: Soft, but less so then Racing: Hard?

They're halfway between rain tyres and dry tyres.

Yep, rain tires are for really wet conditions, intermediates are for damp track.

One thing I don't like about GT5's weather is that it's hard to tell how wet the track is ubtil your on it and look behind your car to see how much spray is coming up, by which time it's too late and you've already chosen your tires for the race.

Been caught out once at Monza like that, pre-race screen had quite heavy rain, but when the race started the track was dry, obviously the rain had just started and the track wasn't wet yet, so I have to pit again for dry tires.

The intermidiates are literally racing tires with groves in them to help improve traction. The groves mostly give a place for small amounts of water on the track to go, while still putting as much rubber on the ground as possible.

The rain tires in real life look much like the tires on your car, lots of tread to help propel water away from the tires. I take that back, next time you go to the mall and there is a corvette or some sports car in the parking lot, look at those tires. Racing rain tires look like that.

yep none of us have anything but Eagle LSs on our cars

in A-spec I always use racing softs even when it is pouring, and i am in 1000+ hp Toyota Monolta or F1 car. I have noticed I get the most tracking this way. I don't know how it is online where tire-wear is turned on, but this is what i've noticed.
