High-Test
I've pondering a Wolf Whistle for my Biscayne. I've also seen a hand that pops out from inbetween carbs with a middle finger raised, that made my day. I'm probably going to get a boat horn for it though.
Your post has forced me to salivate. I'll reinforce someone's claim that Gil knows all that is good. 👍
Thank you. I have more:
Yes, 1st Gen Camaros, especially the 1969. Add to that Yenko Camaros with 427 tri-power carb set-ups.
Vintage Vettes-especially the 1957 (first year with Fuel-injection), the 1958-60 (they are just cool looking), the 1965 (the only year with the 396, and the first year for disc brakes)
T-birds: from 1955-1966--that covers the two seaters(1955-57), the "batmobiles"(1958-60), the "rocket-ships"(1961-1963 I had one of these), and the "square birds"(1964-66). After this T-birds weren't cool-looking again till 1982.
First generation Mercury Cougars (1967-1969) Built on the same frame as the Mustang of the same vintage, and more likely to be found with a big-block under the hood.
Compact "grocery getters" from the '60's like Nova's, Fairlanes, Falcons, Darts, and early 'Cudas with small block v-8's. And the looks on the face of the guys in the car in the next lane that thought they were sitting next to granny's straight-six, "go to meetin'" car.
1932-34 Ford Coupes, hot-rodded with the old Flat-head and Stromberg carbs.
Getting the "towing package" back in the late sixties, early seventies, because it meant getting the 428, 429, 396, 454, 383, or 440 under the hood.
The Beach boys, Springsteen, Jan and Dean, and every other Singer/group that made cool songs to cruise by, or sit at the drive-in (both restaurant and movie) while "groovin'".
